Looks like the markings similar to how BMW does it with their DCT Transmissions. Still shows P, N, D or M on the shifter, and when the shifter is moved into M mode, its controlled completely by the paddles and does not shift for you when redlined.
Do you any of you have any other experience with other vehicles?? http://image.automobilemag.com/f/rev...r-vertical.jpg |
i love the wide body and front grill!
|
So, the big surprise is the DCT...WOW!!!
But, did you notice the 6500 redline? What's with that? |

Kind of how you can see the paddles on the Stingray 7MT too?

Do the standard 7M paddles have plus and minus symbols on them?

Wow!
I hope they incorporate this wide body look into a future Grand Sport model. GM will only bring a "Grand Sport" if and when sales and gross profits decline of the Z06. That will depend on the price. |
On God no, vomit

CRACK!
Out of the park... Congrats to Tadge & team--extraordinarily well-done! |
The only thing I find curious about these renders is the location of the hood duct.
Take a look at the photo below which was posted earlier in another thread. Assuming that the photo below is really from the Z06 owners manual, the photo below appears to show the hood duct located on either side of the cowl as opposed to in the middle of the cowl as shown on the render which is similar to the standard C7. It could just be an illusion caused by the flat nature of the illustration but to my eyes, it looks as those the ducts would be located in a different spot on the Z06 hood based on the image below. http://i390.photobucket.com/albums/o...ps81b26a11.jpg |

I don't quite understand the front fender/wheel well lip design vs. a fender that covers the entire front wheel but absolutely sweet nonetheless, looks like it's going 150mph just sitting there, a race car for the streets! (have been saving my money for years for this kind of vette, plus I have $4,400 in GM card points, fingers crossed that its fairly affordable!)

I think it has be 95-100k or more. I think more! Those thinking less will find out!
Does look good! |
Man Big Dan has to be pissed.  By the way, is he still banned?

Can't wait to see it next week in Scotsdale
|
Sure looks like a DCT.

I thought my C6Z with the front splitter, and rear wing looked aggressive. This car is so sick! I can't wait to trade in my Z for it..

Ok, sold me.
Love the wide body look. 620 HP will be 720 HP in about 3 weeks, with an upper pulley by LPE (speculation only) Confirmed what I was told a year ago confidentially, which makes thinking about what is coming next really mind blowing. 620 is the estimated. That is what I believe was estimated for the ZR1 until 638 became reality. Nice job GM, just wish it was a blown 427. Maybe next time. Need to see the engine bay up close. |
Absolutely sick!! Where do I sign?
