Nope, I think it would be great if everyone liked the same things as me.

Then, everyone would be correct, and I'd be content.

:iagree:

We should be tolerant and accepting of others opinions as long as they're the same as our own....

What are you worried about?

AK47 12-14-2013 04:31 PM

It is just a Corvette. The car which small penis'd, douche bags drive.
So no matter what Corvette we drive we should all just get along.

 very well stated..................

I have stated in other posts that I never much cared for the C6 until the Z06 came along. Having said that, now that I own a wide body 427, I have come to appreciate all the C6's because narrow or wide, they all have the classic smooth lines that I love. Maybe it is even the suttle little things like the addtional nose scoop and the rear scoops, I don't know. The wide body has the appearance of being more aggressive but a narrow body with up size wheels and tires looks pretty awesome as well. I think if you like the C6 you appreciate both models as being the magnificent rides they are. Let's drive!

The GS was a cheap simple way for GM to get more $$.

Flare the fenders, use the Z06 brakes, suspension and tires (it only adds about 170#'s) and charge an extra $7,000.00 or so.

More expensive, slower and heavier than the C6 but sells well with more profit for GM.

Face it, most of the public couldn't tell a C6 from a Z06 from a ZR1 if you did park them side-by-side. Hopefully no 'widebody' C6 owners look down on a narrow body C6. If they do that's their problem. Be self-assured....both the C6 and wider body versions of the C6 are beautiful cars!

BINGO!!!! Same conversation over on the Dodge Challenger forum, and many others I suspect. Many SRT owners look down on the R/T and SE owners- - -and on down the line. When Dodge came out with the SXT trim that made the SE (6 cyl.) look very close to an SRT, you would have thought it was criminal.

And don't get me started about badging issues.

It come down to curves. I enjoy the flared fenders. the wide stance, beefy brakes, & its just meaner looking, coming or going, almost like an expensive exotic. I don't look down on any Corvette just because it doesn't appeal to me.

I'm one that can't tell the diff between rt, srt and whatever else there is. The only relevant vehicle starts with a V.

Yes lol

Thanks to all for all the comedy. Both cars are truly classic

If you are happy with your particular vette model, who cares what anyone else thinks about it?

Tommy D 12-14-2013 10:28 PM

To each their own

Who cares what other people think, it is not their car.

Joe B. 12-14-2013 10:39 PM

I look down on all Corvettes when I'm standing next to them.

Narrow body with an aftermarket front bumper, and no, I NEVER get tired of looking at it. Sometimes I take several trips to the garage in a day just for another look. And this has been going on for over 3 years...

You left out the fact that G.M. thought they could get that extra money for the GS, because it's far more kickass lookin'! And, they were right!

Until this thread I never gave it a thought. I have a G.S. but, only because I like the overall look of the vehicle. I had a C5 and wanted a C6 and the G.S. was available at a price I was comfortable with. Funny part is, I never thought of the G.S. (Zo6 etc.) as better, just DIFFERENT. To the OP, I wouldn't lose any sleep over this, most of us just love Corvettes, ALL CORVETTES.

Scott
