My '13 GS has the "suede" interior option, and I have very sweaty palms. So on longer trips I use a pair of sailing gloves - no fingertips - to keep the steering wheel from getting too grimy. (I'm not sure how you would even go about cleaning that suede surface.)

in 1991 i purchased a 91 honda accord, and never even thought about wearing driving gloves... but then again, it was a 91 honda accord and i thought of it more like a small sedan. But, the cool thing about america is you can do what you want, just not for me or anybody i know.

Hey, I often wear gloves like this when I drive in colder weather...no matter what I'm driving. I just don't call 'em driving gloves.:D

Yes, this will be my first vette and i am pumped about it. However, it is like scoring a touchdown in football. You need to act like you have been there before. When i do get mine (sitting at 3300), i will not be wearing "driving" gloves cause i will be divorced and my dog would probably go too. If you live in the north, wear them for the winter months, at least you can just say your hands are cold....lol Quite honestly, i never thought i would see a thread on driving gloves.

BTW, i am sure this thread is a joke, which i am glad... if not, i would say just do the trifecta and purchase a helmet and short school bus and your set...lol

This is to funny you guys..I'm reading about owners who bought splash guards and plastic Flim for your paint. Come on you all are guilty of doing something ghey upon deliver if your new stingray. And I'll bet $1000 dollars the moment you see another stingray on the street you'll wave like a school girl regardless of glove, splash guard and paint protection..love this forum!

Here in MN, I keep an extra pair of "window scraping gloves" in every vehicle I own, and the Corvette, although it won't intentionally get driven in the snow very often will have a pair of gloves and a window scraper in the glove box in case of the unexpected need to scrape the windows.

I generally remove the gloves once I am underway and the heat kicks in, though, so not really "driving" gloves.

go to your nearest Harley dealer and get a pair with 1/2 fingers, they are outstanding. Saw a WW2 replica hand painted helmet there with flying tiger emblem. wife just walked away from me. hey i like to wear blue/tan saddle shoes also from DSW. it's your corvette dress and drive as you want:) MAKE A STATEMENT!!:flag:
