Standard misting nozzles. The ones on top with the screen. Couldn't narrow down the search enough to only show them.

Ratings we all talk about, 10gph etc. are at 100psi for reference to sizes.

MVP'S ZO6 12-11-2013 05:17 PM

full cone or hollow?

edit it must be the full cone since thats the only thing available in the 10 GPH at 100 PSI

The fine misting and spray nozzles at the top left of the link, are the exact same ones that a vendor sells.

You also need the washers
Get the stainless ones that don't rust

SmoothFRC 12-11-2013 06:47 PM

Not trying to be a dick, but why wouldn't you buy them from Julio? Not sure the cost difference, just seems he is a stand up guy who supports people on this forum.

Why not support those who help us?

I guess it's just a way of looking at it? I personally feel like bugging him or anyone for an $8 part just seems like a waste of their time, even if they may not take it that way. Absolutely nothing to do with Julio not being a stand up guy.

Nothing wrong with buying from Alky Control. They seem like good guys, and I've seen them help people on the forum. I feel that the pump and controller are the ticket items, and the lines and nozzles are consumables. A lot of people, like myself, are do it yourselfers and as such like to put together their own kits. It's fun to figure out and design things.

Is the only reason why stick with Brass over SS is the price? I'm going to get a 5 and 10# nozzle.

Thanks for the link

yes... meth/water does not corrode either or a mixture of the two.

Apocolipse 12-11-2013 10:22 PM

Devils own has a 250psi pump too...

MVP'S ZO6 12-11-2013 11:44 PM

Anyone in here have a devils own kit or anything else besides an Alky Control Kit? I know when I had an AEM kit, the pump pressure wasnt even close to what they rate it at. I'm curious as to what the other pumps put out in comparison to their ratings.' ANyone care to do some testing?

I am thinking about getting a coolingmist setup for my car. If i ever work on it again. I will test mine unless someone does it before me. What size nozzles were you using with the aem? That will play a part in what psi you see. That wouldn't be a bad stickie for up top.

Apocolipse 12-12-2013 12:09 AM

There are some threads on devils own forum where some people did testing I'll try and pull it up

I have a setup from them and 4 of their nozzles all different sizes. But I'm a busy guy lol they have amazing customer service!

I agree Good Sticky Thread. Make it happen Bro!

I dont recall nozzle size. Let me be clear the kit worked well even though I had gone through two pumps. The lines coming apart are what made me sell it. I was going to have custom lines made and all that stuff but by the time I was done it wasnt much more to just do the Alky control kit. So far that has been the best kit ive owned.

Alky control kit best I have tried others had issues...

Mike04 12-12-2013 11:53 AM

I’ve ran straight meth for years in my car, using it for fuel to get my AFR. Lots of talk here about 100% meth vs meth/water so I figured this might be a good place to ask. After researching a lot beyond this forum I’m about convinced to go the meth/ water route or at least try it.

Currently I have my car tuned with no meth with an AFR of about 11.5/1. If I add meth on top of that my afr will drop well into the 10s which is obvious power loss but added safety (Alky control kit with 10 and 15 nozzle). I’ve seen IATs into the 150 on a ¼ mile run kit turned all the way up.

If I ran a 50/50 or 75/25 meth/ water my afr wouldn’t be as low with the kit set to flow the same but I would be adding water to the combustion. In theory combustion temps would go down.

Thoughts on power difference with straight meth at say an AFR of 10.3 vs 50 meth /50 water at an AFR of 10.9?

I agree straight meth is the best for power but I’m concerned about IATs and safety. At 900-1000rwhp the loss of a little HP doesn’t hurt me on the street. I can always retune if I go to the track.
