Blacked out signal lights with Niteshade
I just finished using VHT Niteshade to black out the front yellow and rear red side reflectors.
http://c7stingrayclub.com/wp-content...31109_0101.jpg As shown in the pictures, one with and one without the flash, the spray on paint is transparent. I sprayed 3 coats of Niteshade, 5 minute wait in between each spray. Followed by 2 coats of clear coat. http://c7stingrayclub.com/wp-content...31108_0011.jpg http://c7stingrayclub.com/wp-content...31108_0021.jpg Just finished doing the rear in the same fashion I did the front side reflectors. Here are the pictures in the sun, from afar and up close. http://c7stingrayclub.com/wp-content...31109_0031.jpg http://c7stingrayclub.com/wp-content...31109_0041.jpg http://c7stingrayclub.com/wp-content...31109_0051.jpg http://c7stingrayclub.com/wp-content...31109_0071.jpg http://c7stingrayclub.com/wp-content...31109_0091.jpg |

I'll post some day time pictures tomorrow afternoon for you guys.

Would have been cleaner if you removed them first.

I added daylight pictures to the first post in the thread, and I also did the rear reflectors.

Glen, are they transparent?

OP they look great! I may look into that myself. I have tried the acrylic covers which were too thick, then the high end film and it looks great but I'm concerned about wear. This looks to be the best option. Well down.

would it be possible to use window tint to blackout the side markers? also, what about the taillights, what are you guys using to tint them? Dallasc7, i think you did a good job.

I have done it on a camaro and a honda using 20% win tint or what I used above and got years out of it...besides - at $25 from the vendor, I can afford to replace them every few years...

I was thinking of something for the taillight, however I definitely would not use the spray technique. Maybe spray the two red horizontal strips located directly below the tail lights, but for the tail lights themselves I'm leaning more towards a film applied by heat (professionally done) or actual covers. |
Why??
