The persistent and loud demand from a LARGE percentage of EDUCATED Corvette owners demanding a DCT option will NOT go away until GM offers a DCT option. GM is monitoring this forum, they are aware of the demands, and they need to take immediate action. For the record, the DCT subject was brought up in this thread by DCT haters making sarcastic comments. I'll drop the subject as requested, now that the validity and necessity of a DCT option has been proven, yet again, in this thread. Good to see a stickshift C7 has just broken into the 11's as well. (Rodney at RPM?) While I agree the Corvette should get a DCT option in the future. Asking customers to pay $11,000 for it is definitely the wrong answer. *edit* Just noticed the request to stay on topic. I agree. This will be my last post addressing DCT in this thread. |

Start a thread in the C7 Tech Section discussion the possible merits of a DCT over the A6 and M7. I'm not trying to be a jerk, but then you can debate all issues related to each unit to your heart's content. :yesnod: S. |

I really think these new auto's with very low first gears just drag race well. the torque rating of this motor is better and you seeing that in the lower ET's. I knew this car would be quicker as seen as I saw the torque figures. To any person who is suprised by this should read up on torque and horsepower. anyone trying to minimize that a base corvette running this time is not impressive needs to drink a glass of STFU IMO. the C6 was a 12 second car that some people put in the 11's with great driving and or conditions. the C7 is looking to be more of an 11 second car that people will put in the 12's with poor driving and or poor conditions. I personaly like the car alot. if I did not have young daugters I would be flipping my Zl1 for one. |
I'm locked in for another rental at Atco on November 4th. A friend of mine is trying to get a stock '10 C6 A6 there same day for some C7 vs. C6 matchups. :rock:
