Just like each generation before. Some just cant handle the power and or have never had a car like this.

Hope they are OK.

gthal 10-15-2013 07:59 AM

Wow that looks bad! Hope the owner is Ok.

roscoe118 10-15-2013 08:35 AM

:sadangel:

WhiteDiamond 10-15-2013 08:40 AM

It looks like that Vette may have gone under something..........almost.

C7_Z06 10-15-2013 08:42 AM

Quick! Rework the salvageable Z51 components! :D

HogwildC7 10-15-2013 08:44 AM

These guy have to slow done. But this Vette is a lot faster than my 2012 GS and seems to be lighter.

Crossed Flags Fan 10-15-2013 08:46 AM

What the?????????? :(

MThomas 10-15-2013 08:47 AM

Wow...I hope who ever was inside this corvette is ok.

TractionControlOff 10-15-2013 08:50 AM

Certainly looks like the worst one so far. Hope everyone is okay...

Serious question: was that a coupe?

AORoads 10-15-2013 08:51 AM

that looks really bad. I can't tell if it tried to go under something (like a truck), or rolled. either way, hope the people in it are ok.:yesnod:

assuming it's a production car, it has to be a coupe since no convertibles other than show cars have been produced.

Luster 10-15-2013 08:52 AM

Quoting my old friend on the day I bought my first Corvette.

Be careful......... Vettes make ya stupid.

I'm guessing rollover.

BlueOx 10-15-2013 08:57 AM

Just why is it we have seen at least two of these serious crashes so far but haven't seen one story about who, what, where, why and how? Why the radio silence?

Hey, burton, where did you get this image? Don't you know anything more about the incident?

Slynky 10-15-2013 08:58 AM

Well, I'll put on my flame retardant suit and differ with an opinion.

(assuming this was a single-car accident where the fault can be attributed to the driver,) I don't really care if the driver is OK or not. I've seen people doing stupid life-endangering things on the public streets--like two motorcyclists going down the interstate about 75 MPH on their back wheels--and when I see crap like that, I usually say to my wife, "I hope they have a single-car crash that leaves them unable to drive" (and therefore removes the opportunity for their next accident to involve an innocent victim). Harsh? Yeah. But when a friend of yours is killed due to the stupidity of another, you might find yourself leaning my way in opinion.

Assuming some idiot crashed into the car from behind (or some similar no-fault accident), then most definitely hoping the driver is/was OK and extending sympathies for the damage to their new car. Even the first ding hurts...that would be insurmountable.

It might have been a roll over and then the roof appears to have been cut off by Fire Dept. or it went under the back of a big rig. Bad deal either way!

direct007 10-15-2013 10:11 AM

I agree...Roll Over. Looks like my 1989 vert that was stolen and flipped. Remarkably, the thief got out without a scratch.

Yes, definitely a coupe because you can see the duct work that goes to the top rear fender vent. Those don't exist on a vert.

Driver just wanted a convertible really bad.

I think he went about the conversion the wrong way.
