Cranes Corvette has the correct generator for $309. I just need to know if I need to replace my existing pulley. Please see photos. Thanks

It appears to have the space (1/4") to the fan, and if the pulley OD is 3 5/8" and belt width is 1/2", then it's correct for a 58-62 Corvette.

Those are the dimensions of my pulley and fan

Looks like my generator has the correct end cap.

I have a 1961 2x4 with generator #1102041. Is this right? The amp gauge pegs out high when rpms go up. What should I look for to solve this.

That generator pictured does have the right end cap and not the passenger car version...good for you.

Big Alvie - you may have a voltage regulator that has gone bad....measure across your battery terminals with the engine at about 2000-2500 RPM...if the voltage is much over 14.2V you need to jump on the issue quickly or wiring/component damage will result.

The '61 Passenger Car Manual has more extensive tests to isolate the exact problem.
