Awesome looking car. Congrats. Will receive my B Silver soon too. Can't wait! What tools do you need to lower?

I just used two jacks, a jacking puck and a 10mm socket wrench. One jack to lift the car and one to lift the a-arm to take the load off the suspension. The rear can be done without removing the wheel but I had to take off the front wheels to gain access to the bolts.

Really nice! Well done.

I live in South Florida. We have tons & tons of speed bumps (sleeping policeman). Do you think lowering my C7 (when I get it) will have a problem negotiating speed bumps, or do you think it won't be affected by a .75 drop?

Looking good.

Super nice job.

I may be too old to use this phrase, but that beauty looks SIC!

Before and after difference is amazing, and awesome to see to get ideas. My favorite is the window tint - changes the entire persona of the vehicle. What % is that?

Did you realign the wheels after lowering? Did you drop each wheel the max? Thanks!

BTW, how long did it take to lower? Did you do it or have someone else do it?

Stinger1 10-12-2013 09:56 AM

WOW Looks amazing

It only took about an hour. I did it in my driveway with two jacks.

20% all around. Nothing on the windshield.

Looks great!!!

Curious as to why 2 jacks? One to lift the car and one to reduce the spring load?

Yep, one to lift the car and one to jack up the a-arm to take the load off the suspension.

The car looks great

I've adjusted ride height on my C5s and C6s, so far haven't touched the C7. Once the car is jacked up isn't the load on the adjusters lowest with the a-arms hanging free than if you jack them up?

I don't know.. I followed a how to from the forum and was instructed to take the weight off the corner. It seemed to work well that way. If it wasn't required it would be that much easier. If you had a lift it would literally be a 10 minute process

I'm very interested in learning more about the lowering process. You mind walking us through what you did to accomplish it?
