it just arrived yesterday and the gentleman who ordered it didn't want it. Personal problems.

its sitting in my driveway now and I couldn't be happier.

Paid sticker and got a fair trade in on my 46,000 mile Z06.

1.9% also.

Thanx for your input. I'm in the same boat as you were. I have an 07'Z
and am being tempted by a sweet blue C7, unsold, at my local dealer. Can you can give me a GUT comparison of the two. I know about the hi-tech stuff but how does it FEEL and DRIVE compared to the Z? Is it clinical or does it have CHARACTER? The dealers around here won't let you test drive for a while. Did you test drive before you bought? And if you didn't, were you afraid you would be stuck with a car you didn't love compared to your old Vette? Thanx a bunch.

 Congrats !!
Kinda the same here the Dealer was allotted two, one sold other one didn't and I was there first.

Looks great congrats on the upgrade!

That a "great accident" to have

Cool - congrats on a beautiful new car.

I priced a C7 online today and it turned up a close match at a dealer near me. They are only about 8 miles from my house, so I thought my day could turn out like yours did. But their car that the Chevy website listed as available had a $12,900 "Special Processing Fee" which made it just north of $75k.

So I didn't even go look and I didn't accidentally buy a C7 today. :(

There is no way I would pay that much just to get a C7 now, when I can wait and order one later.

that's not an inflated price - that's a "premier edition" that is at MSRP like the other stuff Coughlin sells.

Are you in blacklick? I got my car from coughlin at sticker. You should roll over there and meet Rick. You can check mine out too if you want. I'm in blacklick.

Thanks for the info. I have exchanged emails with Rick and he seems like a great guy, and I had thought that they were selling C7's at MSRP.

I basically just wanted to see one for now since I am not yet ready to order. I don't want to play in that feeding frenzy that happens with new sports cars when they first come out, especially when they are the value that the C7 is.

VETJAZZ 10-11-2013 07:15 PM

CONGRATS! Accidentally of course.

Who did you get the 1.9 interest from, the dealer?

Yes...Sun Trust. Told them that Pent Federal had 1.90 and they said they would match it. Was going to pat the diff in cash but decided to leave $$ in Edward jones at least for the time being....I hate payments.

Thanks for that feedback - although I still don't understand exactly what you get with a premier edition car. Sorry if I posted incorrect info about the dealer.

I loved my Z. Hi tech is right. It's right up there with my '08 Z.

NPP sounds nasty in Sport mode. I do not what they did to make it sound that way but its nice. I did teat drive prior in a Z-51. Drove the hell out of it. That's what sold me.. It's as fast as my Z, but really
"upscale"......

I was not afraid as I had read, You Tubed, and been really "dissecting" this new car. I am never looking back.

I probably should have held out for 40K on my trade, but damn it was
really hard. Hands down, the best Corvette in a LONG time.

I have had 10 since 2000. I can only speak from my experiences with the other vettes I have had. This one is THE best.

427Z0SX 10-11-2013 07:30 PM

What color was your Z? Red also?

OnPoint 10-11-2013 07:31 PM

Well, there certainly are worse accidents to have. Sounds like a fun day.

And she is a real looker. Congrats.

My check engine light has been on for some time, but fortunately I'm long out of warranty.
