Suspension Woes

What would cause a c6 Z06's rear end to suddenly drop approximately 2 inches in the rear. Everything is completely stock. Any help would be appreciated. This happened to my friends Z06 after a trip to Ocean City Md this weekend.

Broken spring. Or the disintegration or shearing off of the rubber on the height adjusting bolts.

:iagree:

I have a rear z06 spring that I'd like to sell with around 3k miles if he needs.

Thanks for the replies. It was a broken spring, probably from the heat generated by the cutouts that were installed on the car. My friend is going to install coil overs as a result.

Yup, there was a picture on this forum where the heat from the cutouts destroyed the rear leaf spring. Coil overs are the way to go!
