It's my fault. I got a C4 just before the C5 was introduced and road the crap out of it for 15 years. Then my wife figured out after 15 years that her seat did not have an air bag so she forced me to get a C6! I got you into this situation :(
|
No C7 for me...I'll be enjoying my C6 GS until it's pried from my cold dead hands....or the bank repo's it. :D
|
There were many complaints in the past concerning the "horrible" seats in the C6. I went to local dealer today and sat in a C7 and the seats are very confining in MHO. Not nearly as comfy as my '13 seats. And the cargo area does not appear to be as large.

I was out yesterday in my 427 vert and opened it up on a long straight stretch. I thought "this thing sounds like a race car." I am so extremely pleased with my C6 that I cannot imagine getting a C7.
I am very happy for the guys in the C7 section getting their cars, but I still smile when I walk out in the garage and see this... http://i1361.photobucket.com/albums/...psc4677f48.jpg http://i784.photobucket.com/albums/y...ps39b0b5d1.jpg http://i784.photobucket.com/albums/y...pseac42468.jpg http://i784.photobucket.com/albums/y...ps9226c884.jpg http://i784.photobucket.com/albums/y...ps22e4f3ea.jpg C7 my A$$, just look at that thing. |

I just posted on the thread, "C7 or 427", where some ding bat just said get the C7, the 427 was all HYPE, and old news. I was really upset by this. I really like the C7, but will never buy a base car....C7 my A$$, just look at that thing.
Beautiful photos, but you have to realize the 427 was just a passing fad, all hype. The C6 is obsolete, yesterdays news, old junk. :lolg: |
The good news is that my C6 is still a Bad-azz car that looks great (and it's just a coupe)!!
I like the C7, but I think a widebody C6 still looks a little more boss... especially from the front view.... I'm kinda beginning to fantasize about the ugly Dodge Viper now, and am wondering if one of those is in my future instead.... |
We'll get used to it.

I mean really, she still looks hot doesn't she? http://i289.photobucket.com/albums/l...ps3ddeba25.jpg :iagree:Ain't that the f-ing truth, glad she is back. I can't imagine ever getting rid of my C6, I waited along time for just the right one and the ability and timing to get it. |
I've had my fair share of C7 encounters...ranging from the original premiere in Detroit to recently checking one out at a local dealership. Nice interior but bigger blind spots, not as loud (I'm not stock), slower, questionable rear end styling, more expensive, etc. I'll stick to my C6 thanks. Plus I'll wait until they do a Z06 before I opt to do anything. I don't feel bad one bit. That front end is amazing though. :)

Ahhh the justification bias is heavy...
Same thing as the C4 forums when the C5 came out - "It looks like melted plastic and the rear end is huge!" Same thing as the C5 when the C6 came out - "It's really just a C5.5, plus they killed the popups so it's not a real Corvette" Soon this forum will slowly degrade to the point it's mostly "fix it" threads and super tacky mod threads as the cost to acquire one goes down and down. Those of us who've owned previous generations went through it and now you will too. I'll be shopping "previously enjoyed" C7s in spring '15. |
Well guys and gals I spent several hours hanging around, sitting in, starting and test drove a C7 on Tuesday, 10/1. I have plenty of pictures and some video to prove it.
I'm not going to bash the C7 although I saw some faults, especially underneath (on the rack getting PDI). I will tell you I don't want one now because I'll have to re-learn how to back the car up (in car camera is a must), I could not see out the rear window. lol I really loved the new seats for fit and finish ++++great job GM. *It all good what can I say................. |

I really like the C7, but will never buy a base car. I have had a 2002 new Z06, a new 427 Vert, and those were both amazing. But all hype, and old news, naaah!!!! I feel the same way about my car, it is ridiculous fun, and I get tons of onlookers, always.

Maybe the Vendors will head over to the C7 section and clog up the C7 forums with their "ad" threads instead of us?
|
Happy with what you have
There's always going to be something newer and hotter, can,t have it all. I'm happy to have what I have and consider myself fortunate to have it.
