62 Chevy wagon. My Dad could have bought any car for me but I had to earn the money cutting and selling firewood, $175 with a wrecked front fender. Put a mattress in the back. When I'd pick up a new girl for a date I'd smile and tell her this was how I went camping.

Great looking car!

My first was a 70 Formula 350.

Replaced the 350 with a 455 the 1st year I had her. Kept her for 10 years ...yep, wish I still had it

1957 Volkswagon, bought brand new.

A heavily modified '55 Chevrolet Belair. I paid $250.00 dollars for it that I earned from my paper route. Boy was my dad pissed! It had the small Hemi engine in it but it wasn't a very fast car. It's looks attracted a lot of attention which was fine with me.

For the heck of it, here's my second car. Obviously a Chevy guy...

This car was bought new by my dad with a 427.

Many cool cars. Wish I had something cool then in 1973 when I got my license. My dad bought my first car from a friend at work, a 1966 VW Beetle with a grand total of 40 hp!

WV Vette 10-29-2013 04:24 PM

1970 Chevelle SS 396. 350 HP, turbo 400 tranny, light green with black vinyl top and black interior. If a human could kick its own a**, I would, for not keeping it. Bought it a week after graduating high school in 1974 and traded it later for a new 1977 Camaro, 305 2 bbl. 2.56 gears and a whopping 130 hp. WHAT A DOG !!

First Car

1966 Chevelle Malibu, 2 door, AM radio, 283 CI with MT headers, four barrel carb and a pretty hot cam, hood pins, auto trans, black with black interior, black steel rims with red Tiger Stripe tires and Bowtie Baldy Caps -- a bit of a sleeper. Paid $650 for it in 1973, and then the mods began. Gas was less than $.50 a gallon. Those were the days.

Chetmo 10-29-2013 10:09 PM

'68 Firebird 350 auto.
