My LRG Convertable W/ kalahari int & top currently at code 3000 .....

FYI - LRG z51 7 sp 3lt kalahari - code 3300 on 7/12 - 3400 on 9/12 - 3800 today - built yesterday VIN -1352 - ordered thru Rick "Corvette" Conti -Thanks Rick - now all we need is some trucks to head for Columbus

No typo. But that was back in July

Congrats, My order is the same. Along with the Z51, color combo & 3LT the only other option I did was NPP. Went to 3000 the end of June, 3300 9/10. Now with the shortage of painted tops (my dealer was instructed by his Chevy rep to place his orders as stock units) I will probably see snow before I see the car.:(

Its different. Your car will stand out in a crowd of commonly colored Corvettes. And i'd be the LRG one will bring a few more $$$ come resale time.

When I was looking for preowned C6's.. Lemans Blue metallic was a very rare color. There were only 9 available for sale nationwide. I would imagine the same scenario if you decided to sell your LRG C7 a few years from now. It will remain a very rare color.

None of the caliper color choices I see would go with LRG in my opinion.

With LRG, bright colored calipers draw the eye away from the lines of the car too much, IMHO.

Why I chose Limerock Green
 

Just wanted a different Color...Mine is Built where it is is anybodies guess,but it did make it out with both the Clear and Carbon Top.....I have the Brownstone Interior--got it because to me it looks best with the Carbon Interior trim package.
Hopefully it will look good next to the Night Race Blue/ Kalahari Interior Convertible when that arrives........Harvey

Mine will be going in the garage next to an alpine white 2012 Chrysler 300 SRT8... 4 door hot rod American Muscle :-)... To bad the wifey drives a Kia hehehe

We have our own shop car coming in.......The R&D car will be cyber grey.

Not sure what I can talk her into on her car. :D

I was thinking the yellow calipers might make the green look a bit brighter. Especially if one was going for black wheels.

Would be nice if GM got their car configuration program updated with exterior pics that reflected your choices. I think LRG with yellow calipers might be nice (certainly it would be interesting).

Just got home from Vettefest and saw a LRG w/3LT Kalahari for the first time since we ordered ours. Looked as good as some pictures & videos, & better than most. Stood for a while listening to peoples comments, & they were all very positive.

Just checked GM'ers list & found I just went to 3400. :woohoo:

On a side note, talked to Art Spong, Group Manager Brand Quality-Performance Cars/Corvette. He said one of the reasons for the delay on my order was the Kalahari int. Based on comments they had heard about it being to orange, etc. they didn't think it would be as popular as it has been, thus the supply was less than needed.

Well to be brutally honest I think it is "ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL". I did go with a Crystal Red Metallic myself mainly because I wanted the full length dual black racing stripes with a black interior. But brother that "LimeRockGreen" is gorgeous too!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The Red Metallic is pretty exotic as well, I'm sure we'll all be in love with our choices!!! Honestly all of the colors look good to me really. I saw NRB today and it was very nice. I'd be happy with one of those too.

Hey if all of us get built that are LRG next week (those of us that turned 3400 this week), then next week will officially be known as "The Week of the Lime Rock Green Stingrays!" hehehe

After seeing Kalahari in person, I am thinking maybe that should have been my choice. I hope I'll like Brownstone just as much, but that kalahari color looks like an expensive german car interior (that's a compliment)...

Saw the Brownstone in CGM today & had my reservations, however I think it will look much better in the LRG.
