Repainting an Solid Targa Top
 

Trying to pick up a solid top. Probably white in color going to a Dark Red color.

I watched the video in the How to above. The guy striped the paint off with a heat gun and scraping tool.

Cant you just sand and ruff up the paint and repaint and CC.

Not a painter. Want to do this the RIGHT way.

Any help on this matter.

Have you talked to a paint shop about a color change/repaint? A good professional job for this may only run a couple hundred bucks. They do the prep work, correctly prime the top, mix and shoot the color, then the clear coat and properly dry it.

You could do it yourself, but unless you have done painting of larger sections in the past, the easiest way is to have it done.
