I had a complete opposite experience. I sat in a 3LT that I wanted to buy but for the life of me I could NOT tell the difference (except for the color scheme) between a 3LT and 2LT from a quality perspective. I then thought, so why am I paying a $4000+ premium for a 3LT?
So glad I got the 2LT, no regrets and I like the extra $4000+ in my pocket leaves more money for cool mods  |

As I posted in another thread earlier today...
If you appreciate a higher quality/premium feel to the interior of your vehicle, then there is no comparison (for me, at least) between 1LT/2LT and 3LT. I sat in a 2LT vette at a local dealership the other day. I've only been in 3LT's prior to that day, and I can easily say that within 10 seconds of sitting in the car... it was immediately apparent the difference in quality with the leather on a 2LT vehicle as compared to a 3LT. The leather in the 2LT is much more "grainy" and does not have anywhere near the soft feel as the 3LT. All of the surfaces that are soft and nice to the touch in the 3LT are nowhere to be found in the 2LT. It actually even bothered me just from a visual standpoint, since I was so used laying my eyes on the smooth, non-textured Napa leather in the 3LT. Almost feels like it's not even leather IMO. The pure leather smell is also non-existent in the 2LT. Granted, I guess you could call me spoiled since I'm used to the premium European leather interiors such as BMW and Mercedes. But I plan on spending A LOT of time inside my C7 and want to have the best/most premium experience possible. 3LT + Z51 + M7 for me :) |

I figured I'd notice more of a difference the way it's talked up here and besides the lack of texture neither my wife or myself were impressed over the 2LT. Perhaps if it were a color other than black then it would be different. Ended up walking away from it. |
2015 C7,Z51,A8,3LT Crystal Red, Brownstone. OK good question. In my case I wanted Crystal Red and Brownstone int. 2015 was the last year for Crystal Red and I love the color especially in bright sun light. The dark brown color of Brownstone int is beautiful and worth the 3LT cost IMO. I do like the HUD and use it a lot so for that reason I would not drop to 1LT. Absent those considerations I favor 2LT all the way.

For me, the 2LT has all the right stuff. I don't need or want the custom leather-wrapped interior, Napa Leather Seating Surfaces, Navigation, or Instrument Panel in interior color. However, if you like the the Brownstone interior, then you have to order 3LT to get it.

Brandon, I saw in previous posts that you ordered the competition seats. I saw a post from Dave@Kerbeck yesterday saying the competition seats are Mulan leather, even if you ordered the 3LT package.
However, the noticeable differences I was mainly referring to weren't on the seats, but rather the dash, door panels, and other areas in the cabin. |

You are correct. I did order the competition seats and am fully aware that they are covered in Mulan leather and not the softer Napa leather.

The 3LT is a steal especially in the Kalahari or Brownstone. 4 grand more that includes the $ 795 nav which is an option on the 2LT. $ 3200 difference. If one can afford a $ 65,000 car with 2LT, they can afford a $ 69,000 car with 3LT( unless they have stretched the budget to the max). Main reason most go with the 2LT instead of 3LT( unless it's just too much color on the dash for their tastes etc) is a 5 letter word that begins with C.

i have a 2lt and think the interior is amazing! for 3200 I can upgrade so many things !!! I just cant justify it! but again its just my opinion
But hooked me back to a 3LT for the 2020 C8 and again for my E-Ray, now at 3000: ALL 2019 3LTs. Had to get a special car in Spice Red to get the my 2014 3LT look https://cimg6.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.cor...9abf3373dc.jpg Hooked me to spend $3000 extra assuming I opted for the better GT2 seats. https://cimg8.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.cor...c2d50521b4.jpg Same with my E-Ray at Event Code 3000. For the Artemis Interior needed a 3LZ ! https://cimg0.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.cor...d7517f1606.jpg |
