Sorry for highjacking this thread...

I watch all these show on Me.TV, Cozi or Antenna TV. I always look at the cars in the shows. Even the 6 Million Dollar Man drove a c3 in one of the episodes.

All these images are on www.imcdb.org.

Yeah Hoss Cartwright was apparently a car guy too, not just a really big cowpoke.

Anybody ever watch Stingray? The flubbed the name. It should have been Sting Ray for that gorgeous black C2.

Anyone remember Dan Tanna's FIRST car on Vega$?

Nope, not the T-Bird... a mid year Corvette that was blown up in the first episode, I think.

Of course, while talking about mid years that have bad days on-screen, there's always Con-Air...

Yup, the one pictured is a 67.... but I remember Tony Nelson driving a 66 GTO convertible..... can`t mistake those louvered tail lights!

Interesting... Is it me or does Tony's 66' GTO have the 67' GTO rocker trim on it?
66's didn't have the 'Coke Bottle' stainless rocker trim, only 67' had it..

I never noticed it before....
but now that you point it out, it sure looks that way, huh?

Yup! The good old days..
I wonder if the car was a 67' 'test mule' they used for the show or if they were putting 67' bits on a later production 66'?
Great stuff...

I think that the car companies provided cars for these shows, and perhaps some had pre-production stuff on them. Here is an example of a '72 Barracuda Convertible, but Plymouth never made any. This from the Brady Bunch

The Bewitched Episode was the time when Darrin had wished that he had never met Samantha. Endora made this come true and Endora and Samantha had a look at Darrin's life without her. It showed Darrin driving the 68.

Ultimately Samantha recognized that while Darrin had power at McMann, Tate and Stevens and prestige, and ... Darrin was lonely and better off with her and Endora made it all right again.

"You know Sam..., sometimes there are times that I wished that I had never met you..., then there are others when I realize that I couldn't live without you."

toddalin 08-22-2013 10:49 PM

This would be the one.

Note that normally Darrin drives the camaro (3:00)... but,

Look at the green '67 Corvette big block, hardtop roadster with the white stinger parked across the street at 3:05

Need to go to Part 2 to see the '68. He drives up in it at 0:10

Jeff_Keryk 08-23-2013 12:39 AM

Yup, that Goat is sportin' 67 rockers. 66 has the GTO emblem on the fender. 66 had the oval steering wheel; not sure about the 67. Anyways, the 65 thru 67 Goats were flat-out beautiful. And those 389 (and 400) torque monsters! They were faaaaast... And who could forget the Motor Trend article where the 65 beat the Ferrari! Go Detroit!
Oh yeah, this is a Corvette forum, I forgot.

oldgto 08-23-2013 05:48 AM

In part 2 of "If they never met".... you think that yellow C3 Darin drives up in is the same one Larry Tate drove in other episodes?
