Please show me where I said anything at all for or against Crowhater's avatar (not avitar). I merely said that 1) this is a forum to talk about Corvettes, not politics and 2) that the same freedom of speech that allows people to choose their own avatars (which I support) also allows other people to complain about those choices. You can't have it just one way; it has to go both ways.

Why is that people always scream about their right to free speech and expression, but in the same breath denounce others who are exercising that same right?

Come on, Silverado, let's talk about Vettes. If you and I were having a beer, I bet we'd get along fine.

I agree with you, you can't have it just one way, it has to go both ways, please get rid of your offensive avatar, it supports physical violence and killing, please get rid of it.

Crows are indeed very smart. They also warn the others when you are near. :yesnod:

Crow, can you tell us how your PI was able to find the guys truck so quickly?

One last thing, I hope they break it off in the guy AND the two conspiring adults.

He did not go into detail with me as to how he found him. They do this stuff for a living and they are good at it. I am not taking anything away from the police because they have way more to deal with than just my little case. If all the police had to do all day was look for this guy I am sure they would have found him also.

Through all of this I have been pretty good about my baby being gone but now that it is so close to being done I am pacing the floors. I have cleaned the garage twice in the last week, organized all my car care products, watched my YouTube videos, looked at photos and ran out of stuff to buy for it. It is going to take a month to learn to drive her again with confidence. The first day I get her back I plan on spending it going over every inch of the car above and below. I want to know that everything is tight and working 100%, then I will put her under a cover in the garage and stand guard out front with my AR.:D

So sad to see we live in a country where in the truest sence of a Liberal Democrat, where they can come into a thread about cars and impose their dislike for something as trivial as an avitar, and tell the OP he needs to change it because he disagrees with it, which is so typical of Liberal Socialists Democrats to tell everyone else what they should and should not do because they don't think anyone is smart enough to think for themselves and they need to impose their will since they know what everyone else should be doing or not doing.

I was a victim of a hit and run a few years ago on my bike. They did chase her down and catch her. She was never charged ( small town ,ya never know who knows whom) I was really hoping she would spend one weekend in jail just to reflect but never happened.
Glad your car is going to be so cool, cars that have be wacked good and fixed scare me but this one is going to be good. I hope you recovered or will recover all lost wages and other costs ( medical claws back insurance money when you get a settlement they get thiers back first)
I am actually headed to the lawyers today to get an insurance check ( 4 years later) Glad you are OK and your car is going to be great!!!:woohoo::thumbs:

Crowhater -

Are you still into bikes?

PRE-Z06 11-20-2013 04:31 PM

Glad to hear you're ok man. I was run off the road once by an SUV not paying attention and shattered the leaf spring, knuckle brake rotor and wheel when I kissed the curb...they never stopped as well even though I ended up being spun around back awards on the road.

?????? I raced dirt bikes when I was younger and rode a few croch rockets but I have never really been into bikes. My wife would leave me in a second if I got a hog. I was not born with that little voice that tells you that you could get hurt. The only reason she broke down and agreed to the corvette is because I got in trouble with the coast guard driving my airboat down the inner coastal. Until this she never paid much attention to the airboat, but after this some friends with big mouths explained to her what I was doing. The boat had a 530ci Cadillac that made over 700hp and I put a 300hp NX Gemini kit on it. I held it wide open on the inner coastal because it was smooth water and nailed the goofy gas. It cost me a few fines and a couple of head gaskets but man what a ride.

Old Boot I am not really worried about the settlement money as long as it covers the bills I am good. If anything is left over I will put it in the kids college accounts.

Today's picture, she is getting closer.

I couldn't agree more. That thing is SICK.

Glad you're ok, but with what you have said in your threads about the perp and your understanding of the few that didn't agree with your avatar and willingness to change, you Sir are someone I'd like to meet and bench race a few hours with a couple of  .

Enjoy your Family first, and then your NEW C6 you've built, and it is most unique............none like it, and Rock On.

That pig made one mile per gallon and I blew up three of those engines before we got it right. Back then they did not have any aftermarket heads so we built the first true aluminum cylinder head that was not a copy of a factory head. We used T&D shaft rockers, and made our own aluminum intake. The factory valve train design of a 500ci Cadillac could not handle RPMs above 4000. This engine when finished could run 5400rpm. The other weak link is Cadillacs oly have 10 head bolts per side so I was always blowing head gaskets when I sprayed it with N2O. We tried everything, copper head gaskets with SS O-rings, cosmetic, etc. when we did get it to seal the aluminum heads started to split around the studs. They cryo dipped the heads three times and that did not work so we put steel inserts in the heads so we could torque the heads studs down tighter. When the heads were correct, we found out the block was flexing to much so we had to make a girdle. Then we discovered the back cylinders ran hotter than the front six so we ran external cooling lines around the heads and plumbed them into the back of the heads. Talk about an expensive learning curve, but I proved it could be done and I was the first. It made more torque at 1000rpm than a diesel engine, she was a torque monster

I pain a pretty penny to have S&S build this custom carb and tune the engine.

This is one of the engine we blew up before we went to alum heads but it shows you the external cooling lines to the back of the heads.

This little trick picked up 8hp on the dyno. We made a return line from the carb back to the fuel tank so we kept cold fuel in the carb and did not deadhead the fuel pump.
