Asked over and over and over again .... Yes the wording may be a little different but dang ....
Or maybe some dont read the forum to find out their problems ...
Example we have been talking noe for 2 weeks about our cars running anywhere between 200 to 235 degrees ... Just read guys and you will find anything that you need to know ...
I'm not being an azz I'm just putting it out there

:iagree:Our society has become lazy. We want everything handed to us, nobody reads or does any research any more. google ? CF ?

VETJAZZ 07-31-2013 02:06 PM

A Google search usually brings up a Corvette Forum thread that answers my questions.

Nature of the beast for Internet forums, regardless of the subject matter.

calvins 07-31-2013 02:22 PM

Oh come on now guys. You can't expect people to actually put in a little time and use the advanced search facility or google can ya? Sheesh, totally unreasonable people 'round these parts.

You post the same pictures of your car in every thread. Isn't this the pot calling the kettle black?

kybilt 07-31-2013 02:33 PM

Is it you, or...

Reading the same questions over and over again is slightly more tolerable than reading those that don't have a point at all... :flag:

Can't even get people to read their owners manual. Many of the questions on here over and over are answered in the owners manual.

The search function here leaves a little to be desired too, even the advanced functionality is poor. BUT, when you tell people to search they get their panties in a knot.

mrlmd 07-31-2013 02:40 PM

This forum does not have the greatest search function. Many other posts come up that have nothing at all to do with what you are searching for, and many times you have to do multiple searches before you can find a useful answer.
But some of the searches reveal many, many interesting things, and by the time you are done reading all that, you forgot what you were originally looking for.

THAT was pretty funny.

As far as peoples panties being in a wad about people on the forum needing help and trying to use the whack search function that more times than not brings up jack. Get over it.

You guys crack me up!:rofl:

James is going to get you! :pistols:

I do agree with James. I see new post all of the time about "oil pressure pegged" or "ABS, traction control" just to name a couple that I see repeated often. I do also look at some and note how long they have been a member. Some new guys / gals do not yet know how to use the site well and well some people shouldn't even be trying to use a computer and I am suprised they even found this forum.

Then some others of us...well...have this Forum as one of our home pages and have a job where we can spend (sometimes too much)time on here every day. One person posted their desk which has 4 monitors and the forum is on one of the screens...maybe even all day

Advanced Search Feature with the bottom tab set on "relevancy" as opposed to "last posting date" has proved helpful for me. Also sometimes if the question is a little different than what was asked previously sometimes its nice to get a fresh opinion than one that is a few years old.

As far as Google goes.... Brings up the Forum anyways.

By the way I have a spare vest for ya James if you need it... :leaving:

James2002z06 07-31-2013 03:19 PM

Lets see smart azz

How many threads have you been a part of today asking about the tire size over and over and over ... The pics from today are letting you know how big of a tire you can run because your to lazy to research it:thumbs:

:leaving:

I agree with James. It would make some sense to at least search some before repeating a thread. A lot of the times i myself search for something and about 75% of the time i find the information needed. Mostly EVERYTHING has been done before. You name it, its out there.

James2002z06 07-31-2013 03:24 PM

Same for you funny guy ...

Go back and read from today posts on wheels and tires .... I'm showing the ones that the wheels that I own are to my knowledge the largest that can be put on a c5 without modding ....
You can read any thread that I've posted here in 2 years and never once did i ask a how to question ... I searched and I read ... Then guess what
I built a car ....

Actually, I posted about tire size ratio of two sizes. I didn't ask how big of a tire I could run. In fact, the tires I plan to run are smaller than average and I couldn't find anybody else running the particular sizes since most of the Corvette world shuns what I'm planning to do. Thanks for letting me me know something completely unrelated to my question though, I appreciate it
