Noise level Hankook V12 K110

I'm going to replace my GY RFs. How quiet are the Hankook V12 K110?
Thanks,
Wayne

From What I've heard and read they are pretty quiet. Much quieter than the run flats. Others will chime in with the same answer I'm sure.

:iagree:

My Hankooks V12s are my second set of non-run flats. IMO, they are much quieter than my previous set of Yokohama tires. It think their old V-shaped tread pattern had something to do with their higher noise level.

I have them on my C5, 18s & 19s, they are very quiet!:smash:

Same sizes here. I second that. Although I must admit the way everyone raved about then prior to the 30 days I have been on my car I'm guilty of over expecting. Don't over expect and you'll be pleased. Certainly the price is very fair. Overall a definite improvement over the GY Run Flattys.

Just calling a spade a spade. Good luck guy.

I will third that! I have them now, also 18's and 19's, and I think they are a pretty quiet tire.

Good tire.

Everybody complains about their side wall being really soft and hindering the handling of the car. Is this true for the ones who have them? I'm about to buy some TSW's that come with these tires and was curious. Good to hear they're quiet though!

I'm running the Hankook's also. A very quiet tire.

Me too and I love them on my convertible

Real improvment. Love being able to hear the tunes in the vert.

Yes, road noise was almost overwhelming with my prior tire. The Hankooks are far quieter and I don't even really notice the issue anymore. We'll see how they are when more worn down.

I appreciate all the replies.

I have not noticed any type of reduced performance. However I also upgraded my sway bars to Z06 sways and installed Koni FSD shocks to improve my cornering.

The Hankooks are performing well, however my only concern is that they seem to be wearing fast.

C5zo6 or C6zo6 sway bars ? I thought you needed bigger tires than 305 to have C6Z06 sway bars .:D

C5 Z06 sways back in 2005. Considering some new Hotchkis bars.

oldC5 07-24-2013 12:07 PM

Thanks, I am thinking of up grading myself . Doing my research first. I am OCD about that.

That is why people do rave about about them, they are a vast improvement over the GYRFs

I fitted Hotchkiss running 275/35/18 front, and 305/30/19 rears, great performance from them.

What a huge difference with non run flat tires !!
