Carbon Flash Mirrors & Spoiler opinions?
 

Hello my fellow Stingray comrades,

I have an Arctic White/Red int & brakes/ Black wheels Vette on order.

I am also getting the exposed carbon fiber roof and NPP/MRC/Z51 etc.

The main option I am having a hard time deciding are the Carbon Flash mirrors & spoiler option..
I love the look with both the option and without. The black mirrors/spoiler looks more race/aggressive, but all body colored looks clean as hell.

This is the combo I am trying to determine- what are your opinions?

1) Arctic white, black wheels, exposed CF roof, carbon mirrors/spoiler

2) arctic white, black wheels, body colored roof, carbon mirrors/spoiler

3) arctic white, black wheels, exposed CF roof, body colored mirrors & spoiler.

I like all three options. The ONE thing you should reconsider, in MHO is the red interior. Tacky if you ask me.

If you do black wheels which I agree with ya looks mean, ya gotta do the carbon flash mirrors and spoiler (because it looks awesome), I would do the cf roof if ya got the money to spend, I think it looks better than the only white, but if I got a coupe, that roof panel wouldn't ever be on anyways. I'm a convertible kinda guy. Hope my opinion helps. Good luck and congrats on your C7.

So funny you say that... I was actually considering switching to Grey seats, or even Black. I am thinking red will piss me off later on..

It would me too I think. I'm doing Torch and thought for a moment red interior would be cool but decided on black, with black wheels and visible CF roof. I didn't get the mirrors/spoiler black.... Ya think I should?

You're in the same predicament I am.. I like both looks, and that option changes the character of the car so much. I almost wish I could just do the spoiler in Carbon Flash and keep the mirrors body colored.. It's the mirrors that bother me the most if they were black..

I was also thinking torch red myself, but just like u think the interior is a bit much, I think red exterior would be a bit too loud and I'd get tired of it quick, but it is my 2nd favorite color on the C7.

Ahah I agree with both y'all on the red, just didn't wanna rain on his parade.

For some reason I like the white ext with the flash mirrors and spoiler but the with the red I don't think it needs it. Something to do with red being such a bright color to begin with it doesn't need the extra black, but with the white ext. I think the flash m&s really add to the aggressive feel of the car.

Again my opinion , one day soon ill sack-up And turn my opinions into my own c7

i did the white on red as well and originally liked the black mirrors and wing.. but the more pics i saw the more i disliked it, for one main reason being the mirrors... in black they seem to stand out more than in white..

i like the contrast, but the mirrors just dont do it for me.. so i opted to go white wing/mirrors and can always wrap them black at a later date.. but wrapping black mirrors white would be more difficult to match properly. imo.


out of your decisions however, the 1st is my choice..

if you did white mirrors and wing, i would do body color roof...

I currently have a torch red C5 vert with black interior and have always loved it. Was going to do the CRT, but IDK, seems "old lady" color. Wish I could see it live though.

Great choice on the red interior.

If u want a little color, the red brake calipers look awesome on the white, even with a black interior. although 500$ seems a bit steep for caliper paint.

Yeah... True... But that was also when we had avacado refrigerators and orange shag carpet.

People spending lots of money to bring those back to life. :D

It's so tough... When I decide to change the interior to black and do the mirrors / spoiler in body color, I look at this pic and love it !! I wish there were pics of the Z51 w/ black rims and body colored mirrors / spoiler, but I just can't find any besides renders..

Anyone have pics of Gray seats in a white C7 (or even C6)??

I think I'm going to go with Carbon Flash mirrors & spoilers after all.. Worst case if the mirrors bother me, I'll have a body shop paint them white...

I think the red interior looks hot... I have that combo on my G8 and love it...:D

Not a huge fan of the black mirrors and spoiler. I remember back in 2000 I had a Mustang GT and the mirrors were black; I paid a few undred bucks for a body shop to paint them body color (silver). I can't imagine paying extra now to have black mirrors again on my silver C7. But of course I'm "tacky" and ordered red seats with mine as well. :D

If you go with the white/red combo, you have to get whitewall tires!
