My wife thought the same way and hadn't driven the Vette. I took her to lunch somewhere and when we left, I got in on the passenger side and she said, "Unh, uhhhh...I'm not driving!" and I simply said, "we're going to be sitting for a while then." She got in and drove and enjoyed it. She's actually a very good driver.

You are a lucky man.. I WISH I had that problim... I WONT let my wife behind the wheel ... but she enjoys going for a ride... but I do the driving so if something DID happen I wouldn't have to KILL HER !!

I'm thinking like you, who cares if she doesn't want to drive it. That means it will stay looking nice longer.

My wife has no interest in driving the Corvette and I'm okay with that. Actually I'm happy about it.

We did the Buyer's Tour and Museum Delivery. My wife was totally gun-ho. Yet, when the time came, I literally had to force/berate her into driving it on a 10 mile stretch of almost perfectly straight rural road. That was it, almost six years ago. She even admitted, that if something happened to me where I couldn't drive the 'vettte back home, she'd rent a car to get us backhome.

My wife is the same exact way, and that is fine with me. If she changes her mind and wants to drive it that will be fine also. I decided not to make a project out of it.

We've had our vette for about 9 months now, and have taken several road trips. Several times I have asked my wife if she would like to drive it, and she doesn't seem all that interested in driving it, but she does enjoy riding in it. I don't understand.

I've had mine since November 05 and the wife has yet to drive it.
