what brand is the short shifter?

It looks like a Kirban shifter to me. I've had one since about 2000 and it's been a good shifter.

For the price, you can't beat the fun-factor. I feel every car guy should have a WS6 TA in their stable. The look is truly remarkable and un unmistakable piece of what modern American-Muscle represents. :flag: I'll post more pics if you guys are interested. When I threw on those wheels everyone thought I was absolutely nuts and that it wouldn't fit without a tub or serious 'sawz-all' action... hows the shifting?
is it shorter than stock? any issues with 5th 6th or reverse? getting into them? any grinds going into the gears? whats with the tape in the picture? on your craigslist ad it shows a gold base one also is that the stock c5 one? |
is it shorter than stock? I'm not sure. I'm assuming that it has a shorter throw. You may find more information on their website.

The black electrical tape is not structural. It was used to hold another shift-boot in place under the original shift-boot for sound deadening purposes. It can be removed without any issue. on your craigslist ad it shows a gold base one also is that the stock c5 one? Yes, that would be the stock Z06 shifter and knob missing the 1-6 plastic top/cover.
