c7 front end same as impala and malibu?

Have you noticed how the front end of the c7 corvette was made to look like a stingray? but if you look at the new chevy models they copied the same bottom splitter front end. what gives?? are they are trying to copy dodge, audi and BMW with the same type of fascia for all of their cars? whats next the volt and spark?

You're right, they are almost identical. I'm canceling my C7 order, and will get a Malibu instead!

  The C7 Forum is getting crazier by the day. The OPs post is a great example of that. :yesnod: Malibu, Volt, Spark? LOL.

not crazy, just an observation of how a car manufacturer changes the looks of their cars to be similar to each other. I like the front end splitter of the c7, but why do they have to make their other cars look the same?

dont forget the chrome retainer as well

At the walkaround in Bowling Green they said those extensions are needed to meet the upcoming European pedestrian safety standards. They said the EU thinks these "egg teeth" things that stick out will cause the ped's legs to not go under the car. hmmmmmm

Yeah and according to C&D last month, the new Impala looks like a 4 door Camaro. Personally, I think people are going blind and crazy.

Yeah, I see the fangs but that just isn't "c7 front end same as impala and malibu". I mean, c'mon man!
Trust me, the C7 ain't my holy grail...especially if money were no object.

It is a CHEVROLET Corvette.

Chevy has a design direction.

Every company has one, its a basic design that flows across the line from cheap to expensive.

If you do not like design direction remember who you vote for. Euro Ped regulations are insane and they are coming here.

Basically stop teaching people to look both ways before crossing the street. You have to get hit by a car doing 25mph and NOT cause major injury, that does not include broken legs which I think is the bench mark for a front impact.

:iagree: That's what they are.

ltdodge: Imagine that they are NOT there. See - the C7 does not look like the others!

Even my sister who drives a VW and only knows where the gasoline goes into the car, would know that none of these cars looks like a Corvette except for the color.. Myself I find it funny anyone would even suggest that..:rofl::rofl::rofl:

*while scratching head* O and guess what did you notice they both have 4 wheels and two mirrors? I can't respond to this thread in any intellectual manner so I will leave now.

F4Topgun 07-01-2013 09:26 PM

Your right they right. That's amazing! All 3 are RED.

BRCC 07-01-2013 09:42 PM

My 2013 Hyundai Genesis Coupe has the same thing, of course its white and not red.

^^^This. And I'd guess, based on the design, its made that way to allow air to directly hit the radiator, and to shove the rest of the air to either side vs needlessly hitting the bumper head on.

AKA safety and aero.

Chevy's thing is the two piece upper/lower grill, even seen on the camaro. The C7 lacks any Chevy cues that I can tell aside from tail lights.

Fangs Suck! Thanks GM of Europe!

LouB57 07-01-2013 10:15 PM
