HI GMer, real nice VY GS you have modified, like the matching calipers! How about some pictures? Is there a TPW for RCDG8M?
Many thanks,

3000, no TPW yet.

Also, the calipers on the GS are not a mod. Factory option. 1 of 193 GS with yellow calipers in 2012.

George, like I wrote in point #1 on post 1 of this thread, I don't know where they get there info. I don't want to brag, or put anyone else down, but I have kind of suspected for a long while their info was wrong. As we pass by weeks where people were told their car was supposed to get built, I feel better and better about the information I am sharing.

Probably over a month ago now, there were some orders that had TPW's published, but then removed. While the plan may have changed by a small amount of time, Chevrolet is still on target with their initial estimate of the first deliveries being late summer/early fall.

GM'er. how is it that your list on page one has several cars at 3300 (Scheduled for Production) but they still have no TPW? How can a car be scheduled for Production without having a Target Production Week. Seems to be an oxymoron.

GM'er,

I think my order RCCVS0 will move past 1100 on either the 18th or the 25th.

If it does, will it show up immediately on that date with a new event code? Or, is there a time period after those dates for my dealer to respond?

In other words, when should I start posting here for you to check my status?

Thank you, Mariano (Alfie)

I'm not sure. It seems like TPW's have been artificially withheld on sold units. I have looked up several units for dealer stock that do have TPW's (the earliest I have seen is the week of 8/12).

My dealer cannot seem to be able to provide me a printout of my actual order. I see that you have started to compile a list of options from our fellow C7 customers.

Wow, QZPHVM was one of the earliest orders entered. Was it entered around April 16th?

I wonder if the dealer really "cancelled" it or if he'll take it to put on the showroom floor?

I feel he should of told you upfront what day you should get one and delivered on the expectatuon. When they enter it on tbe system it generates a number. Some dealers enter it on the system daily, some weekly. 2 weeks is crazy. I would wonder if he has an allocation for you. Id call him up and just be upfront and ask if tbey truly have an allocation.

I don't think your order number is generated until the dealer has entered your order into the ordering system AND it has been accepted by GM.

Putting your deposit down only got you somewhere on the dealer's list. Your order won't be accepted until the dealer applies one of their eligible allocations to your order and THAT will depend on your standing on their list of people with deposits. Constraints (temporary unavailability of components specific to your order) can also determine if/when your order is accepted by GM.

There are a lot of moving parts to getting your car built, as I have learned. It seems to take quite a bit of patience to get through this process.

Yes, lots of threads about this. It is on a 20% constraint right now, that is expected to last less than 4 weeks.

Also to clear up another point of discussion in the other threads, this will affect all orders that have NOT reached 3000. Any order at 3000 and above is not affected.

That's a real bummer to give up your place in line to add museum delivery. Your new order is at 1100. You will also be subject to the FAY constraint so ou may not get picked up right away even if your dealer has allocation. Hopefully they spoke with someone in GM before they did this on thes best way to handle this.

Some dealers enter them right away and get an order number within a week and sometimes instantly. Some dealers are not enetring orders un til they have allocation. Comminicate with your dealer so they can set correct expectations.

:iagree:

A dealer can enter a order in the GM Workbench system anytime and a order number will be generated, that order sits at 1100 until their is a allocation and that order is assigned to it.

But as stated each dealer chooses how they want to deal with orders, mechanically the system will generate a order at any time the system is on line but it sits at the dealer level until acted upon.

GM'er thanks for all of your help. You found that my order number, RCMTC6 - NJ, was at 1100. Hey GM'r- my order has sat at 1100 for a while.

Yesterday my dealer said he was prepping to finalize the order and it would be picked up by Tuesday.

I chatted with a rep on the Chevy site yesterday, and she said as of yesterday morning my order had been entered in the Production Queue.

My question is, even though my order is still at 1100, is there any indication this order is preparing to move to another stage of the process? I have the FAY option, but my dealer said he was allocated 1 car that can be ordered with this option and he was going to submit my order for it.

Thank you so much!

My local dealer was only allotted 3 cars and was asking a 10k premium so I ordered from Kerbeck. The person I am working with does not share my urgency or really seem all that interested. Didn't even get my first name correct yesterday. I understand I am 149th of their orders but I'm spending close to 70k with all my options just like their first order. I'm wondering if they are just that busy or if it is just easier to put me off since I am a phone/ Internet customer. I'm guessing several of you also ordered from Kerbeck? What was your experience? Should I be concerned about not having a number yet? Thank you guys very much for your help. There is a strong possibility I am just way to urgent and excited about my first corvette so I wanted to get your experience before I complain to much.

We sat at his desk and checked off each option...yes or no...double checked that everything was correct and he then gave me a printed copy of my order. I have it in my hands right now. He even showed me on the monitor his list of orders and where my name was in the priority list. BTW...no deposit asked for...none given...I even offered to make a deposit.

While I am sure GM'er can certainly provide this information for you, I would hate for him to be besieged with such request from a large number of people. THIS IS YOUR DEALER'S RESPONSIBILITY.

Call your dealer and demand a written copy of the order. Failure to provide or to be able to provide this document would raise my suspicion of whether an order has, in fact, been entered.

I am a first-time customer of Kerbeck as well and was not given an order number until about 2-3 weeks after my deposit was received (and I had to email them to ask for it). My experience is that they are more responsive to emails than they are to phone calls.

I've also just emailed my sales person again as I have yet to receive a call from Kerbeck to confirm the options I want (which I should have, since I'm far enough up the order queue to have made it into the second consensus) so fingers crossed that I receive a response.

As someone else said, we are in the age where emails, voice mails and text messaging are the norm. I cannot, for the life of me, understand why a dealer can't take 45 seconds and email you copy of your order.

It's either laziness, ineptitude, or something else. I won't make accusations of wait list shenanigans, but if you have a printed copy of your order in hand, it's hard to shuffle you around on the list.

NOT TRUE. It depends on the individual dealers process.

Mea culpa.

GM'er, you are providing a great service for those of us anxiously waiting for any information regarding our car status. I received my order #RBDJT9 yesterday (7/11) so any update you have would be greatly appreciated. This is my 5th vette (85,05,06,09,14) and I can't believe the excitement I still get waiting for updates and the thrill I still have driving one. I'm finally driving a Stingray:woohoo: Thanks again!!!!!!!!

Jason, based on what I have seen with other Kerbeck customers, this is the norm for their process. They are not entering orders or generating order numbers until they have the allocation to actually have them picked up. I wouldn't worry about it.

You are at 2000, so no list yet, and that's a number 1 at the end of your order, not the letter I

GM'er thanks for all of your help. You found that my order number, RCMTC6 - NJ, was at 1100. When I checked the GM tracker site, I didn't see all if my options and I started to worry that the order had been improperly entered. Could you check and see if the order includes the magnetic selective ride control option, FE4? I'd really appreciate it. Thanks.

Yes, FE4 is there

HI GM'er. Is this the 1st TPW you have run across? Can you tell if it is a "sold" or "dealer" car?
Thanks for all your time in doing this for all of us"kids" waiting for our toys to arrive!

No it's not the first TPW I've seen. I've seen TPW's on internal GM orders (obviously), and some orders for dealer stock, but no customer sold orders. The earliest retail dealer order I've seen a TPW for is the week of 8/12. That doesn't mean there aren't others out there, just the earliest I have looked at.

Based on the allocation your dealer received on consensus last week, and how they have your order prioritized right now, you should move off 1100 by Tuesday at the latest.

I figured, but with how random our order numbers are, it's amazing you stumbled on another Stingray order that already has a TPW
