I'm Loving My 427 Convertible! Best Corvette I've Ever Owned!

I just wanted to say that I (Tim Boone) love my 427 Convertible. I have so much fun with this car. By the way this is my personal car and not Boardwalk Chevrolet's car. This is my 7th Corvette that I have owned. I've had it for almost a year now. Pretty much stock except for LED side markers, cold air intake, and custom stripes which you can see in the picture.

http://i154.photobucket.com/albums/s...psc9da2e27.jpg

I also have about 500hp 1970 C10. I know it is not a Corvette, but it is still a Chevrolet and in the 500hp club. Loud as hell and fun to drive with a massive cam. LOL!

Thank you. I just wish they would have made the 427 convertible sooner. It would have saved me my Grand Sport and Z06 purchases. LOL!

I'm glad you are able to get in some fun time as hard as you work Tim. I am having a blast in my grand sport you sold me so I know you are having a bigger blast in that beast!
Nice truck.

I never though of that. Thank you. I am going to have to use that phrase more often.

Nice truck.

Yeah you have to have some fun every once in awhile. I only drive the vette once a week and the truck maybe once a month. The truck gets a whole 4mpg. LOL!

Do I see a guy in the pass seat without a shirt on? Must be a CA thing... LMAO :leaving:

Nice rides!

Glad you're enjoying your 427! I really love my 427!:D It is a blast to ride, and of course it has a classic old school appeal to it.

A lot of people young and old(er):D compliment me on the 427, and want to know more about it. Pretty good feelings!

That GS Vert. you sold me last year, is also a blast to drive! I have had a couple of buyers but when it came down to really selling it, I couldn't do it! That deal you gave me was a knock out, I will never be able to replace for the price you got me!!!:smash:

Got to love the 427 Vert

I bought this at Kerbeck, drove to SLC Utah!

This is upper PA, along the way home. It is near Corning or Wellsville, PA.

This is lower PA, along the way home.
 Wow...long drive. Plus, that looks like the neighborhood where I used to live. They really are nice looking cars. I've seen all kinds of combos and have yet to see one I wouldn't love to own. :yesnod:

I am Doug Jones, and I support Tim Boone's Message

I, Doug Jones, approve of this message, and anyone's decision to get a 427 Vert. This was paid for by the coalition to "Haul Ass"

It is somewhere near Wellsville, on 417, or Corning up towards Bath?

Tally Ho 06-23-2013 02:07 PM

Very happy with mine as well.

I like how you filled in the side markers and got rid of the vent windows on the C-10.

You can say that again. You can sell it for more than you bought it for.

3GenVettes 06-23-2013 05:42 PM

Like yourself I'm also loving my 427 Convertible. In the circle of life, my first vette was a '67 convertible that was white with a blue interior, but it was a 327. I've had many since then, and I've enjoyed every one of them, and of them all this is my favorite.

I am wondering if I will like my C7 just as much as my 427. Only time will tell.

$$$ is important but being Vette Less is a "Tragedy"! What I went though with the Mrs after I got it was plain "Torture"!!!:smash::hide:

Tonylmiller 06-24-2013 06:05 PM

I plan to buy a 427 convertible someday. When I do get one, I don't plan to ever get rid of it. The C7 is going to have to be VERY good to pry a 427 out of my hands.

Well we know already, it will not be more powerful as your current 427:D, unless you are waiting for the Z06 or ZR1 version. Are you buying another vert? What options did you add on, and what color combination, if you don't mind saying?:willy:

Paper Tiger 06-24-2013 11:35 PM

I love mine too! It is my first Corvette and what a doozie! My 13 year old son and I just giggle every time we open it up, look at each other and say " I can't believe they let my buy this car"

I am going to go with a coupe and do white on white. Either that or I may wait for the Z06. I did order the SS sedan though in white.

Thank you. I actually just bought nitrous for my truck. I'm thinking of moving my vehicles to the 600hp club instead of 500. LOL!

Yeah I had to do something different then what everybody else has. I like the white and black combination.

Jason.ServiceSpecialist 07-15-2013 07:14 PM

I spent about 5 hours buffing my car this weekend and cleaning the inside. Took it out today and it still puts a smile on my face. I love this thing.

mjbz 07-15-2013 08:36 PM

Hi Tim, I really like that 427 anniversary model you sold me on 7/2, great deal too. What air intake system are you using, if you can state this ?
Mike B

Kingspoke 07-15-2013 11:35 PM

Hey Tim, I know the feeling. Nothing's better than to have your Vette gleaming, as you drive it down the freeway with the top down!

The Vette is so compact it is easy to detail vs the cars I've owned in the past. You just feel good driving a car that is sparkling inside and out!

P.S. I see you are down to only (8) 427's with an unbeatable price at that. Someone down the line is going to be kicking themselves for passing on the 427, especially with 18K off!:woohoo:

The 427 is a bad Mother F**** "shut your mouth, will I'm just talking about shaft!" "Well we can dig it!"

It is aftermarket. I didn't want to cut the fan shroud so I went with a k&n also airiad is the same.

Yeah I think people will be paying these same prices even in a year from now for a used one.
