Three years ago C5 was worth $24K and now I'm told it's only worth around $15 by some on CF. Depends on the person.
|
Yep...you overpaid.
|
Coach32, I don't think you over paid,I paid the same price for my bone stock speedway white 01 vert.3years ago with 37K on the clock.I too don't care as I will keep it until I die.

U did good. I paid 11k this year for my 97 Corvette with 125,000 miles and it needs seats. Previous owner took good care of it with a few extras and I love it. I remember when the first C5 came out I heard nothing about first year problems so I didn't even think about it. This is my 3rd Corvette

Nice......................

9-10 is ok, I think |
For the mileage,6 speed and the condition, I think you did well for $12.5k.
|
I think you did OK. The high mileage should bring the value down, but if the condition is excellent it offsets the high mileage somewhat.
|
That's fair. I would think anything under 10 would be somewhat in rough condition.

Who cares. Just enjoy Corvette life.
FWIW, I might have overpaid by a little bit myself but it's no big deal. Don't sweat it. |
I think you did really well.

BSM's ???
In the fall of 2011 I paid $16,300 for my 2000 coupe. It would have been about a 7 as far as condition. I think you did well at $12,500. Now, enjoy the car and this wonderful C5 group of helpful people. Scott |
Well, you could save a few thousand here or there, but at some point you have to pull the trigger and just buy one. If you found the one you liked, and it was in your price range, then it doesn't matter how much it costs.
I almost had my dream Z06 slip through my fingers cause I was hesitant in making the deal and then the seller decided he didn't want to sell the car. Then I looked around a bit more and found about the same deal on Z06s that I didn't really like, or that were over-molested. So, in the end I got lucky when I pursued the seller of the original car I was looking at again and found that he was reluctantly willing to sell it again. I didn't let grass grow under my feet the second time. Basically, if it makes you smile, then it is worth it. |
