Get a rope.

jnealg 06-17-2013 08:33 PM

ya know, while I dont like the front end it makes me think that a mod with the new 2014 headlights on the late c3's might look ok.
You know all pointy and stuff with the clear point going up the fender wells.

IDK maybe I'm crazy.

John A F 06-17-2013 08:38 PM

Not my cup of tea, but the workmanship looked very well done. I wonder if that front end will solve cooling problems.

"just because you can doesn't mean you should" comes to mind

80Baby 06-17-2013 10:50 PM

How do some people sleep at nights? :ack:

Learning_Curve 06-17-2013 11:00 PM

I kinda like it...

johnnyjaws 06-17-2013 11:13 PM

....different...

alswagg 06-17-2013 11:36 PM

I don't care. I like it. Much better looking than the stock 1979

3JsVette 06-18-2013 12:16 AM

"A real attention getter!!!" If negative attention is better than no attention at all.

Arkyvette 06-18-2013 08:38 AM

It is well done. Although kind of Pontiac aztekish....

...Deal must be completed in person...

Would you travel to New Mexico for this car?

:D

Frankenvette 06-18-2013 11:27 AM

Not something I'd do, but I would like to know where the custom front end body parts came from? Did someone make these parts as a one-off? If so, the fabrication work looks very good...ugly but good work.

Snoopysvet 06-18-2013 12:10 PM

Pull the 350 and get a Poncho 400 in there!

LOL

7T1vette 06-18-2013 12:52 PM

It's a "set up" sting!

They want the potential buyer there 'in person' so that they can remove him/her from society and make sure they don't procreate! The world doesn't need any more people who would actually consider buying that car. :toetap:

:iagree:

For a '79, it looks like they grafted onto a '80-'82 front clip. Not my cup of tea, but craftsmanship looks good.

Looks like sh*t

Looks like a prototype for the " New Corvette"

Chappie 06-19-2013 03:03 PM

Gilded_Splinters 06-19-2013 04:39 PM

Another nicely done, yet fugly car.

No way those front end parts are hand fabricated.

brent319 06-19-2013 05:29 PM

Looks like nice fabrication work. They did a really great job of building their vision.
It is just a shame their vision sucks.:ack:

I should not best harsh. It is his car and he can do whatever makes him happy. That is what this hobby is all about. Unfortunately now he wants to sell it, and it will be hard to find somebody else who this car makes happy.

mad pad house 06-19-2013 09:20 PM

I think this can only happen when you leave a vette alone over night with a Sunfire in the same garage.

straitjacket 06-19-2013 11:27 PM

not my thing but kudos on the fab work. i have always wanted to build an early pontiac banshee tribute car out of a ragged out pre 73 c3. and really when i saw the posting that is what i was hoping to see! but hey we all have our own "vision" sometimes its 20/20! sometimes its not! maybe in this case the builder should see an optometrist. lol.

I thew up in my mouth a little. What is that front end actually too?

kenpofan 06-20-2013 07:25 AM

It had a baby.

Priya 06-23-2013 07:22 PM

That's disturbing.
