Help Opinions On Caliper Color
I plan on painting my calipers soon.
I am torn on these color options: Yellow, Red, Orange. I like the idea of Red, just feel like it is really common. http://i1301.photobucket.com/albums/...ps443103f6.jpg http://i1301.photobucket.com/albums/...ps339f28ff.jpg http://i1301.photobucket.com/albums/...psb764945b.jpg http://i1301.photobucket.com/albums/...psf83033d1.jpg |

That looks pretty nice. haha i think your car in general is freakin nice.

paint them LeMans Blue to match your car
|
Understand your concern with RED, but feel that is the way to go....

I hear you on the red. Nothing wrong with it but it seems like it's all too common. I haven't done mine yet just because I don't know what color I want to do them in.
I was leaning towards yellow but then I found a pic of a LMB car with yellow and I didn't really like it. I like the blue on the ZR1's but not sure how that would look with LMB. Post up some pics if and when you do them. |

Hum, I did mine red on Lemands blue. Black wheels and chrome wheels. Doesn't really flow that well. Going to be doing mine Leland's blue next week to match the body color. They really stand out with the z51 brake rotors. Here's red. Not the best pics... but..can't post pics, but these links are pics

Just a thought - how about a dark red (something like CRM) rather than a bright red? That's what I'm considering for my AW coupe (along w/gloss black).
Enjoy, akriggm |

Ill post pictures after i finish. If anyone has pictures of LMB with yellow calipers, that would be a big help also. |
Red or Le Mans Blue - yellow or orange would look 'cheap' with your car color, imho
|
My vote goes to Red.
|
Paint them the same color as your car!!!really tie it all together! Good luck!!

Caliper color
Hi, I just did mine red, of course the car is Victory red. I also touched up my rotors with silver and painted the caliper brackets black. I also installed new pads while i was in there. I tried to post a picture but???? No luck.http://IMG-20130526-00264

Red or body color.
|
If you wanna be unique paint them the same silver as your stripe and the "corvette" logo on the caliper the same blue as your car...would tie it all together:thumbs:
|
I feel like now I am even more confused than before. Haha lots of good input though
|
Red is too common, and IMO is too many colors on the car - same with yellow. The boys from TG are spot on about this kind of setup on the GT3. FF to 3:30 for their take, or watch the whole thing for the lolz. :)
http://www.streetfire.net/video/top-...-1_2100203.htm I'd do body color with white lettering, or white like your stripes with body color lettering. |
I vote RED....a very classic look.
|
I was thinking the same as C6ROLLER except the opposite, Blue with silver letters. I really think it looks great the way it is tho.
|
:iagree: Good choice, just about everyone has red.

I was undecided about a caliper color on my '07 LMB vert, so I have left them alone for now. I have never seen a photo of LMB calipers - anyone have a photo?
|
normally I would have said red but in your car's case blue would be good too
|
:iagree:

Red, Duplicolor kit.
|
I think your car looks great, but if you want to do the calipers:
Coordinate a thin red stripe around the silver center stripe with red calipers. Power coat them the same red with silver lettering. That will tie in the body to the wheels with two colors. Mike the powdercoater does a good job. |
Red.
Next! |
|
I like how red pops... other colors are cool too, I guess I just like the red

Did mine in Lemans Blue came out great..
|
Check my album I have a couple pictures of my Calipers..
|
Red looks good on most colors. Everyone that paints calipers on any car go red though.
I did Z06 brakes on my Crystal Red car and did not want the red since it is two different colors. Mine are a flat black with a layer of clear over them so they don't really stand out. |
Lowering and adding a splitter may cause it to scrape more often...could get expensive.

I definitely need to lower the rear some, way to much space back there imo. I really want a splitter though I love the look of them. |

How about black? Neutral color, not too showy and looks good on any color car.

Red!
You might want to consider silver to go with your stripe? Many GS vettes have silver calipers from the factory! Dave |
