The body man put 5 coats of clear coat to insure that that would not happen , time will tell

No positive words brother, big piece of expensive plastic that you will sell in the future. It;s just a big cheesy cover

James2002z06 05-08-2013 10:14 PM

Lol , no it's all good man , I've just gone a different way than you ... We are giving a serious thought to upgradeing the motor again .... Or we will just buy a C6 Z

olbear1962 05-08-2013 11:07 PM

Lookin' good James! Doin' Texas Proud !!

Vetteman Jack 05-09-2013 01:04 AM

Looks great!!

4 KRUSIN 05-09-2013 08:13 AM

I'm not a fan of engine covers. That is what the hood is there to do. However, I like this cover better than the stock fuel rail covers.

I agree and it retains heat....$$ could have been spent towards rear fender flares or a hood.

oldschoolvette 05-09-2013 09:52 AM

skeeters65 05-09-2013 10:16 AM

OOPs found them..

Siting on the table it looks Stunning!
Not sure about on the car. I think it might be too big and cover too much. But then again thats what it is supposed to do.
Not sure yet..

Blitzkrieg 05-09-2013 10:44 AM

What did this cost you James?

renegad44 05-09-2013 10:47 AM

Too much cover for my engine, it's nice, but I like looking at the engine not a cover.....

Some of these guys just don't get what it takes to get a car where the owner thinks it needs to be ... Just go buy a hood or new rear fenders ....
Lol

Lol

, but whatever floats your boat.

Those 5 bills could have had much better use elsewhere other than as a heat retentioner. It makes for good eye candy though.

Na4now 05-09-2013 06:03 PM

I understand the ones that don't like covers in general.....BUT I like it! Looks super sharp, and looks like it's well made and painted well. Nice detail to add to your other mods. Very good styling. :)

renegad44 05-09-2013 06:06 PM

Everybody gets beaten over time, including me,(race track of course....:D), but I've also beaten a few cars that looked bad as hell, but nothing under the hood to back it up. I've always said, if you're going to look mean, at least have a bark........if not a bite!!

If you're into show cars, for trophy's, I understand, no problem .

Just an observation..... :hide:

James2002z06 05-09-2013 06:35 PM

If you'll think for a moment she is stock under the hood

There is a few on here that will disagree with you , I don't talk about my
Cam,Prc heads , 42lb fuel injectors , long tubes , high output fuel pump and oil pump , no since in discussing my 383 cubic inch stroker ... Can I hang with all the guys from Collin County -- nope -- but Red can given hell

James2002z06 05-09-2013 06:37 PM

In fact I can keep going on my N/A 383 stroker but really some of you'll will find flaws in that put up or shut up ....

James2002z06 05-09-2013 06:39 PM

I'm listening ...

zeevette 05-09-2013 06:53 PM

So, now you're mad? Go sit on your motor until you can behave. Just perch on the new lay-z-boy. :D

James2002z06 05-09-2013 06:56 PM

I'm not mad at all ....

Assuming you were to do this, would the C6Z replace your C5Z? I've done so many mods I can't consider that route although I sure would if I could.

James2002z06 05-10-2013 07:05 AM

That's a tuff choice

I guess those remarks are for me.......

Disagree with me? Of course they will, most do.... I'm the same, never much mention of what's under my hood, and rarely raise the hood at shows, but than again, I don't enter shows any longer either. I got trophy's and recognition in the beginning, but whiners/losers at shows drew me away from that crowd, now, I go too look, that's it.

Even though my Vette is two-tone paint with it's own characteristics, I like "Sleeper" mode better.....:D

When it comes to engine power, there's always a BIGGER DOG out there waiting to eat your lunch. Been there, done that.

James2002z06 05-10-2013 04:51 PM

Agreed man ...

I've been only tring to make the shows with the corvette in mind , but it's a lot of work for a 2 dollar trophy , I do enjoy hanging out with people

James2002z06 05-10-2013 04:52 PM

My C5 always seem to draw a crowd !
