The dreaded 10,000 mile mark.
 

Had my car out for a trip to the local ice cream store, tonight. The odometer just rolled over to 9,700 miles on the way there. In a few weeks my 1995 will hit 10,000 miles. What to do? :eek:

Roll it back.

Its completely worn out. Only good for salvage after 10k. I'll give you $500 for it. You know, its parts car now.:lol::lol:

LOL, not to hi jack but I love the ads that say "adult owned" "never seen snow or rain, never been raced" what that says to me is, you never enjoyed the car the way it was meant to be, driven.

Mine has definitely been rained on, definitely been raced, and it got its baptism of snow 2 weeks ago, none layed but it fell from the sky, all while being "adult owned." I wouldn't change a minute of it. :D

That being said, if low mileage, super clean, NCRS winning Corvettes are your thing by all means, enjoy. :thumbs:

my theory on this low mileage stuff. i could be dead tomorrow - hit by a frickin' bus or something. now, the old lady would probably remarry, and then there would be some dude, sitting in my lazy-boy, drinking my beer, watching my big screen, and pattin' my old lady on the a$$. now i can deal with the lazy-boy, the big screen, the beer, and even the old lady butt, but i'll be damned if i'm turning over the keys to a low mileage vette. if the dude gets it, it's going to be worn out, needing everything!!! :lol::lol::lol:

You need to put some more miles on her, and then drop the hammer on the loud pedal!

It even says so in the owners manual!

put it on cylinder blocks and put in reverse and let it run in gear. It worked of ferris, I believe lol

I love these low mile cars. Someone else buys them, lets them depreciate, but keeps them pristine and keeps the miles low. Then, I come along, buy them at bargain basement prices, and run the piss out of them. Rinse, repeat. :)

I get to enjoy the cars best days, someone else pays for it. :yesnod:

My 88 Vette just rolled over 101000 yesterday. They are made to be driven, no regrets on mileage as long as you always do the maintenance and you are the one putting the miles on.

Got my TownCars 150000 rollover on camera!

:iagree: If buying a car, parking it in the garage and staring at it is your thing, by all means have fun, but I like to drive mine. I can't even do car shows any more, i tried it a couple of times, but all I keep thinking of is how much fun it is driving it and after about an hour sitting beside the car i've had enough and i'm ready to hit the road again.

I'm worked up that mine is about to hit 50k. But I love driving it to much to stop. Get out and put some miles on!:rock:

What a great problem to have------some of these folks have been a bit rough on you because they're seeing everything in black and white. Sounds like you've probably had the car for some time and I get what you're saying. Maybe think of it this way. My '96 just turned 30,000--and ya I wasn't thrilled when it rolled over but like most have told you--it's meant to be driven----so----set your bar at the next watermark---maybe 15,000? Moreover--if you go to sell a '95 with 10,000 or 15,000---IMO it won't make one bit of difference as long as you have maintenance records and it shows that it has been well taken care of. Finally--I'd crack a bottle of your favorite beverage and celebrate the milestone---Enjoy!!!!
