If you think you ordered a C7, think again

I had an appt this morning with my local dealer. I'm #2 on their list for a Coupe. They have an initial allocation of 14-vehicles.

I thought I was going to order a car today.

It turns out that THEY can't place the order with Chevrolet yet. They'll pick the options and give you a price, but there is no method to convey this to GM. I told them to call me when a REAL order can be placed.

I trust them. I just wanted to hear from other Forum members who placed orders. Is this what you have been told as well?

I am up here in the northwest and I was told, I will beable to order the car on the 15th. The car is in their computer but we will not send it to GM till the 15th.

From what I understand, this is correct. GM is not accepting orders for the C7 yet.

People need to be very careful and pay very close attention during this intial order startup phase. Only a limited number of dealers are even getting allocations and the larger volume dealers are going to better in the lottery than smaller dealers. People need to have a dealer they trust and knows what they are doing in this process because it is going to be confusing.

This is so true, I want the gray interior, 3LT does that come with the light gray trim. Having a hard time finding out the answer

using this GM feature, you should be able to see which dealers in your area have allocations for the initial C7 production. The 900 dealers that are getting the initial allocations sell 80% of the Corvettes sold.

It is very important that you have an experienced dealer and a professional Corvette guide to be sure when you buy. I use Criswell Chevrolet and Mike Furman..you will have no problems and a fair price.

The seats are a darker gray I don't see the lighter gray seats, this is what I am getting confused on.

I ordered two weeks ago and have an order number. I've looked up the number on Chevy.com and the order is there... Z51, wheels, exhaust... status is ordered

well, here in middle east our dealers will set the order in june, and we have limited options not 1LT, 2LT and 3LT, they claimed its fully loaded, i hope they bring 3LT Z51.

i remeber C6 in our region come with navigation, heads up display not sure about others option, leather wrapped was optional.

The Dealer is either pulling your chain or he does not have adequate allocation. Find a different Dealer.

I see you are in WI. Ordered a couple of Corvettes from EVS before. Who did you order from?

tansor 05-03-2013 12:10 PM

i got it to work but it appears to be showing all dealers in my area and either they all have allocations or the tool just shows all dealers in the area.
