I know most corvette owners make more than the average joe and money is no option so 1k is pocket change, but is there no way to knock off the delivery charge?

Nope, it's part of the pricing. All dealers are charged the same.

Even when you get your car at the museum, it is delivered to a dealer.

I am curious what the base seats are like. You need the 2LT to get the performance seats, and the competition seats are an extra cost option above that. So.... are the base seats similar to the 2013's? All I am really looking for is some lumbar support. If they at least have that, I would be silly happy with a car just like my current 2011 is... Arctic White/black interior... NO options. $51,000!!!

 :woohoo:  :willy:

I think you may be looking at the seat pricing wrong. The performance/competition seats are the same thing. $1995 without suede inserts.

You do have to get the 2 LT to get the performance/competition seats. The GT seats are the same for 1LT and 2LT and 3LT but the 3LT gets premium Nappa leather.

COVERT GUY 04-26-2013 05:35 PM

Chevy has done it again. A lot of car for the money.

Z0Sick6 04-26-2013 05:37 PM

so a manual and automatic are the same price?

Not true. 2LT/3LT seats get the following:

• Lumbar/wing adjust
• Heated/vented seats
• Seat emblems

What is CFX?

Why the $500 increase?
(Must be a spectacular Plaque)

The $500 increase is for the plaque with your name and vin that is put in the car right above the shifter. Expensive, yes.

The museum delivery stays the same. $495. That includes a wooden plaque from the museum that gets mailed to you after delivery.

Sorry, this isn't the unions' fault. See my above post about federal mandate.

Dave

back in the 1950's it was the dealers that was doing the bitchin' about the delivery charges being different for different dealers(depending on how far they were from the assembly plant). The car dealers lobby was very powerful and the .gov gave them what they wanted(standardized delivery charges). Also, at that time, you could go to the assembly plant and pickup your car and avoid the delivery charges all together.

Can you get the museum delivery for $495 if you don't want the plaque included? If not, then the museum delivery is $995.

??????

So to design my own VIN I pay $5K??????

What am I missing?????

This option and pricing is a carryover from the C6. I sure wouldn't pay for this, but I guess it appeals to some buyers.

Is there a plaque delete for museum delivery? The plaque is just too narcissitic for me.

If it is not $995, then what is it?

I really want Brownstone, so I have to get the 3LT package, but $8000??? Just how nice is this Napa leather? I'm guessing that there's a lot more labor involved with 3LT, but I'm hoping the price is a typo.

Achmed 04-26-2013 06:25 PM

Interesting that there's no racing stripe option, because we saw a yellow mule with a silver stripe.

Mechanic 04-26-2013 06:31 PM

Quick question, pls: Does the $1800 Z51 suspension package include the 19"/20" machine-faced alloys wheels seen on all the display cars (except the convertible), or are the "lobster claw" wheels an additional $1500?

LS6GXP 04-26-2013 06:39 PM

Maybe Ken or somebody can help. Just placed my order with my dealer. When he put my order in he is saying that I have to pay the 500.00 custom color option to do Laguna Blue with Adrenaline red interior. I'm confused as the order guide shows that its standard and available. Only Night race blue Velocity Yellow and Lime rock green were not standard with that interior color.

Please help

You are correct. Your dealer shouldn't charge you $500 for the custom color option, just show him the order guide document.

Dave, Can you get R8C with the personalized plaque on page 19 of the buyers guide.

I want museum delivery and the personalized plaque on page 19 but not the NCM plaque.

Note for those who don't know what I am talking about:
1. Personalized plaque has corvette logo and states "Built in Bowling, Kentucky, USA, for NAME, VIN
2. NCM plaque has NCM logo and states "National Corvette Museum Delivery for NAME, VIN.

If I don't get to choose the plaque I will skip R8C.
