Looks great except museum delivery-995.00, you've got to be kidding.

DebRedZR1 04-26-2013 02:19 PM

Considering the improvements over the C6 this is GREAT pricing.
Now how about those performance models:smash:

Ken Fichtner 04-26-2013 02:19 PM

Note that the R8C option is actually $990 and includes the CFX dash plaque. Therefore, the CFX dash plaque option which was not in the price schedule released today must be $500 and the museum delivery stayed the same at $490 for a new total of $990.

Damn! Mine comes out to $72,960!

Process Black 04-26-2013 02:26 PM

I was about to comment that these prices are really competitive... but then I realized that there's no other car that compete with the Corvette at this price point. Amazing.

Larry/car 04-26-2013 02:27 PM

Museum Delivery is overpriced - $990.00 + destination charge - $995.00 = $ 1,985.00 And I don't want the Plaque on the instrument panel with my name on it. On the bright side, the car with options I want = $66,595 I was going to do the Museum Delivery, rethinking?

Probably custom parings i.e. if you want red interior in a Limerock Green car or something else they don't see as "normal". They plan production around "normal" color combinations and some will be seen as "custom". I.e. if you want them to finagle with the production line inputs so the red interior is in the right spot to go in a green car they'll do it. I'd venture most green buyers will be getting Brownstone or Kalahari so they probably plan input ordering and organization on that.... that kind of thing.

It's not truly custom colors i.e. paint to order like Porsche and BMW do.

My understanding would be if you wanted a non-standard exterior and interior color scheme.

Sin City 04-26-2013 02:38 PM

My Convertible comes to $73500, which is about 2 grand less than I guessed. Pretty much fully loaded with 3LT, carbon fibre, and Z51 package.

Well done Chevy.

Ken,

Misleading info....
2014 Corvette Stingray Starts at $51,995

DETROIT –The 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray coupe will have a suggested starting retail price of $51,995, and the Corvette Stingray Convertible will start at $56,995. Both prices include a $995 destination fee, but exclude tax, title, and license.

"The 2014 Corvette Stingray perfectly embodies Chevrolet's mission to deliver more than expected for our customers," said Chris Perry, vice president, Chevrolet marketing. "The Corvette Stingray delivers a combination of performance, design and technology that very few manufacturers can match, and none can even come close for $52,000."

Per this quote: "Both prices include a $995 destination fee, but exclude tax, title, and license."

DOES the 1YX07 price of $53,800 include the $995 fee?

Thanks!!

Sin City 04-26-2013 02:42 PM

The only thing I don't understand is if you get the Museum delivery, do you still have to pay the destination fee?

Seems like "double dipping" :)

 You can run the numbers up fast. At $ 66,595 = convertible, Z51, 2LT, manual trans., magnetic ride, navigation. No optionally priced color and I am not going with the performance exhaust. The Museum Delivery has been priced past my desirability.

Base prices are $51,000 and Z51 $53,800 BEFORE destination. $51,995, and therefore $54,795 with destination.

The $51,995 and $56,995 are the two prices quoted that include destination for the coupe and convertible.

RockIT9 04-26-2013 02:50 PM

Wow!! with that pricing i might not wait for the Z06. Fully loaded coupe $66,800 I'M IN!!

The running man 04-26-2013 02:54 PM

Does anyone know what the D30 Custom Color and Trim Combinations $590.00 is?

This is amazing news. The new Stingray is pretty darn affordable, especially considering the amount of upgrades over the C6.

Thanks, GM'er. I thought it looked too good to be true....maybe I'll have to forego Museum Delivery :ack:
