The seats are where I have to give GM a Gold Medal. Some C6 owners wanted a seat that was better on the track and GM has delivered. They did the right thing by keeping a base set that was good for the majority of Corvette owners, and making the track seat an extra cost option.

:iagree:
I was just letting him know that the competition seats are just that competition and not designed for comfort and in DD or long trips.

Yea I wonder why they only put carbon fiber on the dash and not by the shifter area too. It is weird. They should have an option for carbon fiber on the door handles too instead of alumnium. Even on audi they offer that on their small TT sports cars. They also now offer carbon fiber mirrors though I know GM has never made that so they probably don't want to spend money on that.

I hope APR steps up and makes lots of carbon fiber parts for this car along with katech.

Remember, this is not yet a finished product. I'm sure there will be other iterations available on other models. Also as an option.

This is still a fluid design. GM has told us, they are still tweaking some aspects of the car.

Not sure why you joined the forum.

Obviously you would be better served with another car! :yesnod:

A slower car at that, at least he'll get a good look of the tail lights

Without a doubt this is the best comment you've made in C7 General

Almost worthy of a permanent signature line. :D

I hope so. I eagerly await the actual numbers and when a c7z06 comes out so I can finally pull the trigger on my first corvette.

Hey genius, Car and Driver 2011 Lighting Lap, 350Z Track 3:12.5, ZR1 2:49.8 which was a tie with the $400K Mosler Photon. Really, get a grip....

The dashboard looks like the 1990 vette dashboard.

For a few extra dollars GM should have extended the carbon fiber material over the console instead of the cheap black plastic they used. This would have given the interior a real touch of class. we have not seen a production car yet, minor things like console finish could change. If you watch the Jay Leno Garage video you will see the quality that most photos don't capture.

That zonda looks nice. I wonder why now on super cars the carbon fiber weave looks like that now as oppose to on say the current corvette, or audi, etc.

Companies like pagani, koneseigg etc are now all doing their weaves that way.

jb_va2001 02-15-2013 04:39 PM

It's another market opportunity for the accessory companies. :)
