Just one, Mustang GT500, MSRP for C7 is supposedly 59k, or has this changed?
Uhm, make it two. I forgot about Challenger SRT8 with 470 hp and 45k MSRP. |

Your a funny guy. Are you a comedian? I JUST HIT THE LOTTO IN NY LAST NIGHT. Says every one in my neighborhood so i must be rich! Says every one? Thats your proof? Not one shred of real evidence or track testing? Your some sorry excuse for even talking about a car, even a pinto. BECAUSE EVERY SAYS SO LOL.
Apparently a real conversation at GM headquarters. Engineer 1: "So we should probably NOT make this better than the outgoing generation Corvette" Engineer 2: "Okay, sounds good to me." |

You sound like the typical butthurt C6 owner. The proof is out there in GM statements, releases, brochures regarding technology, materials, engineering, etc. What? No track times, well just wait. I was talking about the construction, materials, technology, not having a interior designed by Fisher-Price. For whatever reason, some of you think GM actually reverse engineered their flagship car ?

Yes :). Needs to be faster than a c6z06. And the new z06 needs to be faster than a zr1 and the new zr1 needs to be faster than everything else
I mean damn it's been like 9 years of the same car. |

You see thats where you and every other typical c7 lover think your going to knock us C6 OWNERS when your so far from the truth. You see the fact is I happen to love my '12 COUPE and if the C7 did appeal to me that much (which it doesn't) and it was a great car than i would go and just buy one. YOU SEE MONEY IS NOT A ISSUE FOR ME SO I CANNOT BE A BUTTHURT C6 OWNER. I AM IN A WIN WIN SITUATION.!

This thread had been hijacked so many times, I'm not sure I should post to the original comment of the OP. However, when you look at the 1/4 mile ETs of the bone stock LS3 C6s (our C6 challenge list) and add 20 hp from the factory as in the C7, wouldn't we be realistically looking at 11.5 ETs or better @ 120 or so? I think that would match most if not all of the GT500s realistic ETs. Very few production cars would be able to touch it.
I believe there will be another 75 horses for the Z06/7 to 525 or better and another bump in a ZR1 replacement to 650 or so. I don't see much to complain about in any of these estimates??? |

Do you deny that the above quote was made by you? |

It is actually only FOURTEEN hp difference since C7 comes stock with supposedly equivalent of the current NPP. And you are a dreamer not a realist expecting these figures.

What part of "estimated" folks don't understand?

Given the publicly displayed lack of reading comprehension it is clear that the effort GM's technical writing group puts into the owner's manual is going to be wasted on a lot of people. :toetap:
I expect that actual buyers are going to display more intelligence but observation would lead one to believe that for advertising purposes GM would have been better off designing and tuning this engine purely for peak horsepower instead of providing a very nice and usable change in the torque curve. |
