So the most powerful standard Corvette ever is a disappointment?
I mean damn it's been like 9 years of the same car. |

Domino's delivers, GM estimates. 1500-4000 you will be dealing with CAGS and AFM.

CAGS will only activate if you try to shift before 1500 RPM. If you're accelerating pretty much at all, AFM will have you in V8 mode. The driver selectable mode won't even allow AFM in the sport and race modes...

Yes :). Needs to be faster than a c6z06. And the new z06 needs to be faster than a zr1 and the new zr1 needs to be faster than everything else

CAGS intervenes when... 1) coolant temp is above 169 degrees F 2) speed is between 15 and 19 MPH 3) 21% or less throttle. |

Why does the C7 need to be faster than the C6Z? Where do you plan on driving 200+ mph?
As it stands this car will pull just like it to 4k then die instead of pulling even faster like the current zo6 does. It only needs 20 more torque. The zo6 is 470 I believe? It would be nice if this base came out with 500 hp and 480 tq or 500 and 500. It wouldn't take much work to get there. Ford has that 5.0 up to 440 hp without direct injection or all the fancy stuff. |

I mean in acceleration. I don't care about top speed past 160.

The LT1 is so fat with low end torque that those of you who buy one will forget the LS3 ever existed. You're all hung up on the mere 20hp advantage now, but just wait...after you have lived with the added grunt and the improved fuel economy, we'll see how disappointed you are...

And while I'm at it, how many cars are there with naturally aspirated engines with a minimum of 450 bhp and cost ~$55K?
Uhm, make it two. I forgot about Challenger SRT8 with 470 hp and 45k MSRP. |
