I don't think anyone is arguing that 450 HP and 450 lbs-ft of torque is more the 436 HP and 424 lbs-ft of torque. It's the one's that read "estimated" and then brush it aside and then claim the real horsepower will be 496 when they don't have a clue as to what the SAE certified numbers will be, that are the joke.

The first engine GM had certified under the new SAE protocol was the LS7. GM estimated the horsepower of the LS7 would be 500, but when it was certified, it came in at 505 HP. Maybe GM, with those dozens of engine dyno's at their Powertrain division, know what they're doing and can operate a dyno and read the graphs, before they have the engine certified.

I think many were thinking it would be around 50 more hp than the LS3....I did!
And it may be which would be a good thing.

I remember GM estimated the Camaro ZL1 at 550HP.......but it turned out to be 580.

....and since the C7 has Camaro tail lights to some (LOL)....it's bound to be 30 more HP/TQ than the estimate....right????? :)

Lets use deductive reasoning. They said it had the same torque up to 4k RPM last that it is less than a zo6 therefor it will have less than 470 tq
