I'm actually using a set of Forgestar F14's 18x12 rear with M&H 345/35/18. For the front I'm taking the 18x10 and having them shortened to 18x6... Another forum member has done it...
If you got the money then go with the 15 inch RTS's for your rear with the LG drag spindle and stock C6 rear brakes... Looks the best... |
For the top in traction, the 15" is going to give you the largest range of tires and the best as far as an all out drag slick on it.
Our Billet drag spindles and 15" Weld combo is running on some of, including the quickest IRS Corvette on the planet right now. Proven to run into the 6's! I think everyone knows this one :D http://www.lgmotorsports.com/gallery...ks_atomicZ.jpg Street/Track car, 10.4's with 530 rwhp NA, 9.8's with a 175 shot on the LS2 setup. http://lgmotorsports.com/gallery/alb...e_shot%7E1.jpg |
That 505a setup is nasty, why just get the same style wheel in the new size u need
|
I have a single CCW C140 18x13, if you choose that route......save you 400.00 on at least one wheel
|
yea what scares me about the 15 inch spindles is i would have to run a 28'' tire and they dont make gears for Z06 so i have been running 25.6-26'' tires for better stock gearing

who makes a drag radial thats wide enough for a 15x10 and 26''?
|
Stock 19 inch run flats. Your cars too slow to need anything else
|
Why did you sell the RT-S combo you were originally running on ?

17's. CCW classics look good too.
|
I like the setup you had. I just ordered the same thing except wider in the front as I want to drive it every day... not a real "drag setup". I considered going 15" in the back but decided the 17s would be better for normal driving and should hook well with 325 racemasters.
Welds are the best looking IMO |

Why would you have to run a 28" tall tire? There are 26" tires as well.....

M&H 275 /50 /15 is 26 inches. I dont know if thats wide enough for the "look" but must hook very well.

They no longer make the CCW classic 17x4.5 front runner... They replaced it with the SP20 1 piece rim...

how wide are front and rear and are the direct bolt-on? car looks badass rattt g
i am having them build me a set of 16" for the rear now to run a 28x10 or 26x10 slick, then i will need to swap to c-6 base rear brakes, to much $ to do the 15" spindels, i think the 16" will be close enough |

hmmmmmmmmmmmmm so all you need is c6 base rear brakes and rotors to run 16s?
99% of all ol 10.5 cars are on a 16" wheel, hey why not give it a shot |
yea i hate the way the car feels with a slick..... they dont make much for drag radials in a 16 either
|
cant believe no one likes these.......... black or chrome these are actual the c140s cause c14 you cant run center caps
CCW C140 -CHROME- 18X5 18X13 http://ls1tech.com/forums/picture.ph...ictureid=98393 |
The spindles for 15" are around 1400 bucks. You gain a share of that back becaue 15 inch wheels and tires are considerably cheaper than 17. You also have a bigger selection of tires.
|
not those beadlocks lol all i run is hoosiers they are about 200-250 no matter what i get............ plus those alumastars are like $600 each plus adapter kit lol fml spindle route is about 1000-1200 more $$ then any ccw
|
Kinda pricy, but why not a set of Bogart d-10's?
|
love the d10s but bolted no so much
|
feel free to post pics of your drag wheels please
|
Those Bogarts look bada$$!!

17x4 alumastar fronts 17x10 RTS rears If you run a 17" there are 2 options other than drag radials. The 26x11.50 (26.5" diameter) bias ply ET street (what I run) and the 28x10 (28" diameter) Hoosier slick. |
