I have one of these from you guys. Great splitter! I just wish that they were made out of polyeurathane instead. With my nose being so low and it rubs everywhere, the fiberglass just will not last very long. Any plans on making these out of Poly?

Don't understand why these splitters won't increase downforce.
Why do you say no performance improvement? .?? Just a quick note, The Splitters cause down force specially at high speeds which is why we make the bumper reinforcement. Sometimes at high speeds the splitter will pull down the bumper and can cause damage to your splitter or even the bumper. The bumper reinforcement will help keep the bumper in place. |

my apologies. I thought it was C7 carbon that said there was no benefit to the splitter, when in fact it was speedraider.

Good luck getting your part. I've been waiting 2 months for a rear spoiler. They charged my credit card 2 minutes after I placed my order in early Jan. They finally sent me a tracking number last Wednesday, but it hasn't even been picked up yet and everybody knows how fast Fed Ex picks something up when they are called. I'm very seriously considering canceling my order with them. One of their guys called me on last Thursday and "guaranteed" me I would get a tracking number the next day. What a joke. The number is no damn good if they don't actually give the shipping company the part. OH they also said they would ship 2 day air which meant I should have got it this past Wednesday and it wasn't until Wednesday that they gave me a useless tracking number. And this isn't even me going into all the BS they gave me about some of them "being bad" and that's what delayed my order. PM me for the whole story if you really want it. You know they state clearly that it takes 3-4 weeks and that's fine, but don't piss me off by taking twice as much time. If they had said it takes 2 months fine I wouldn't be mad at this point. This is no way to do business. Mods if I have posted incorrectly I apologize, I'm just telling the truth.
Good luck. Frank |
We are able to make fiberglass parts a lot faster.. We can cycle our molds a lot more. Carbon fiber parts take awhile because they are actually complex parts to manufacture and then we clear coat and inspect every unit. We do apologize about delays but we are here with a full support staff and sales team to assist everyone with there order.
And thank you again to everyone who purchased a part from us.. we appreciate it :) |
Looks like we will have 20 more FRP front splitters ready next week. Who wants a splitter?? :)

bumper reinforcements...?

Question on splitter install. Looks good, had it painted. Took off the stock spoiler. By using bolts that came with the splitter how do you get behind the front cover to put the nut on? Did anyone use the screws and clips that were used on the stock piece? Thanks, Jeff

(Always good to have a spare!) I am wondering if my vette scraps the bottom air spoiler dam on my way out of my driveway now, will this peice added also scrap which would be very bad. Guess I have to see myself before purchasing ths if it is onsale. I was planning to leave it black without paiting does it look as good in person as in photos left unpainted? |

Is the one that is shown in your ad on the blue car just in your black primer or has in been painted?

Dave "I Just scuffed the splitter with 600 grit sandpaper and shot it with Bumper Black paint from a spray can. I have since added side skirts and used the same process." |
I ordered mine on a Sunday and received it on Thursday. I was very happy with the quality of the part. I did not think it looked good enough to go on without paint. I sanded it a bit and used Valspar spray from a rattle can for plastic. I chose this because it has flex agents in it and I hope it will be more forgiving if I do scrape the splitter.
I took my car to my good friend Oscar's (OEFastZ06) house. Oscar has a lift and has a carbon fiber splitter installed. We removed six screws that hold the black piece on the ground in the photo below onto the car. We then removed three screws that hold the nose on. From there, we were able to reach around and get the clips that hold the front grill on and remove the front grill. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v6...ps736fd7be.jpg I washed the grill and gave it a couple of coats with the Valspar paint. The three center pieces that hold the clips on the front were broken on my car. I used the hardware from C7 carbon along with large flat washers on top to secure a new license plate frame and the center of the splitter. I then used the factory screws for the other holes. I ended up with this. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v6...psacd3e0f5.jpg My stock splitter would scrape on my driveway unless I hit it at the perfect angle. I had my neighbor watch as I came into the driveway and did not scrape. I haven't taken the car out again so I don't know if it will scrape or not. I'll post back here after I do. On the way home from Oscar's house, I stopped to take this photo. I am very pleased with the splitter. I hope it holds up well. If not, it is not because of the quality of the splitter, but my poorly designed driveway. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v6...psdd8f9607.jpg |
