Okay with me I guess....I did go find the book and it is just sitting in the book shelf...no torn pages, looks like it just came out of the wrapper.

Send me a PM with your contact info and I will reply with the same.

As y'all may know, our own Richard Newton wrote that book. He's a frequent CF contributor. Maybe he's got some.

Midnight 85 02-08-2013 01:46 AM

If anybody else wants one, I have one but I will have to find it. I put it away someplace to keep it safe. I guess $35 is the going rate so I'll go along with that.

LannyL81 02-08-2013 08:35 AM

Need some guidance here:
I did not realize that there were two people wanting this book;
I had replied to ghostrider in this thread, but then to speedy in a PM.

I did not look at the sender.....my fault....so whom gets the book?

I know that ghostrider is on the road and probably is not able to answer.

Guidance???

Whichever one you send it to I can send mine to the other one. Did both of them pay you? I'll hold off selling mine until you get this figured out.

ghoastrider1 02-08-2013 09:31 AM

lol, happens all the time. I am going out on the road in about 1/2 hour or less. I will not return untill the 13th when the wife has to have surgery. Soooo, if anyone sends me the book..I wont be able to acces that mailing info untill then..so please dont think I am trying to get out of payment...you perfer to wait till I return, thats fine with me..I have bought a few items from folks here and I am sure if there were a problem with me being a crook, someone would have mentioned it by now, lol. I drive a grey Schnieder Semi truck with " Vietnam Veteran" license plate wired on the grill..anyone sees me, honk and wave hello..I see alotta vettes out there and always wonder if the are on the forum. Oh Lanny, I did get a PM from you but no mailing info for payment.

speedycat3 02-08-2013 05:28 PM

I am sorry this happened. I contacted by PM and not in the thread, so I guess it is also partially my fault.
Whichever you decide to do is fine with me.

Midnight 85: since I have already received payment from one (speedycat), could you send your book to ghostrider?

Let me know

Jerry Roubos 02-09-2013 10:29 PM

Does anyone else have one for C4 only? I would also be interested.

Not a problem, ghoastrider, pm me when you get home so we can exchange info. I'll have the book all ready to ship.

If ghoastrider does not contact me, you are next in line.

rfn026 02-10-2013 05:10 PM

You guys are getting a real bargain. The cheapest one on Amazon is $88.90. They then go up to $292.96.

I wrote this book and I wish I had a case of them to sell. The book will never be reprinted so you don't have to worry about it's collectibility.

I'm still writing about the C4 Corvette over on my blog. Here's an article on alignment. I've got a few more coming up over the next 6 months.

how about an autograph for the cover?
lol
i have enjoyed reading your pieces. I borrowed the book a while ago and loved it.

rfn026 02-10-2013 05:40 PM

I've never seen a signed copy for sale. I know that I've singed several hundred - which really isn't a lot. If you have a signed copy take good care of it.

Sorry guys if you were mislead, Ghoastrider 1 did take my copy. It is already in the mail to him and his payment is on it's way too.

rfn026 02-17-2013 08:03 AM

You guys have done it now. Prices are getting even wilder. One guy on Amazon is asking $900 for a new copy.

Every few months this book hits a new peak. Go figure.

btw - The Sting Ray book isn't as popular. You can still get a new copy for a couple of hundred.

DinoBob 02-17-2013 08:25 AM

Silliness. What's in it, the secret to eternal youth? No disrespect, Richard.

speedycat3 02-20-2013 10:36 PM

Got a message from my 12 yo son who has been checking my mail and books getting home while I am traveling. He loved this book already and was looking at some stuff on my FSM books that also just got home. I hope I can keep him interested in the Vettes. My two older ones never did pay attention to the Stingray sitting at home.

corvetteronw 02-20-2013 11:21 PM

Love that book. Why is it so special? Dispels some of the "common C4 knowledge" that is out there and shows you the correct way to do things. Lots of pics, details and tips.
Don't buy the C4/C5/C6 edition if you only need it for the C4. I got one for Christmas and it really only had a couple of C4 tips. Sold it the next week.
Try your local library if you need a copy. You should be able to keep it for a couple of months with an extension. Take it to work and make some copies of the pages that interest you then return it. I checked with my county Library system and they had several to loan.

rfn026 02-21-2013 06:13 AM

I don't have any books to sell but I do have some free C4 information. Here's an article I did on C4 alignment. It's on my blog. I'm probably going to be putting more C4 stuff on my blog since the interest is so high.
