Hagerty Ins announces the 427 convertible will be a collector car
Hagerty Insurance announced the 10 current vehicles they believe will be collector cars and the 2013 427 convertible is among the list. Citing the fact that the car is the last of the 427 engines, in a convertible and the last year of the C6 model they believe this car is one to have in your garage.
Now I did not write down the other 9 cars on the list but the new Viper is on the list along with some less notable cars such as the new Subaru BRZ, a VW GTi. So while I did shake my head at some of the models, I was pleased to see the 427 convertible was on the list. I doubt it will be in my lifetime though at age 57. Autoblog is carrying the story if you want to see it. |
I'm not sure why there's so much BRZ/FR-S hate? Go drive one. Certainly it's not a Corvette, but it's also not meant to be.
The things are ridiculously fun. Anyway as the 427, it certainly has the makings. Time will tell if that (or any current model cars) become truly collectible. |
BRZ a collector car? it's a cool car that looks great and has a really balanced chassis, but, it's also a full production car.
if i was going to pick a c6 that i would call collectible it would be the z06 carbon. ultra low production numbers |
Hagerty sucks, stick with Grundy.

Well, don't hold your breath, you might want to check out their list from last year..........nuff said.
