Don't like the new C-7 rear lights? Fix it!!
For a mere $2800!!
http://forums.corvetteforum.com/memb...nal-133466.jpg Found this at Jalopnik. Made in Italy. Go to the link and read about it. Now I will sit back and wait for the "haters" and "lovers" of this to duke it out! :lurk: |

I looked but must have missed it.
Mods, please delete. |
Really? You looked?
|
Looks Great!
|
RACER: Yeah, I did. Every day I scan the titles of the posts. I looked again today after finding this article at Jalopnik and cruised the titles once more. Not seeing anything resembling "rear end" or "tail light mod" I posted it.
Guess I missed it. But DID ask the mods to delete it immediately (within a minute) after I was informed. If this is the sort of stuff that gets your socks in a knot that's pretty pathetic and I must assume you were born perfect and never made any mistakes in your life. |
looks like $hit
|
I wish I didn't see that. Going to spoil my dinner.
|
Not bad.
|
Not ideal, but still looks better than the production rear end.

C7 in person
I attended NAIAS; I too was not a fan of the Corvette rear taillights until I saw them in person. In pictures it looks bad, just like a Camaro, however if you see it in person you will see how the shape of the lights compliment the body lines of the vehicle. When I looked the Corvette lights and then looked at the Camaro lights the corvettes lights are more concave than the Camaro, and they have the LED's that outline the lights to give them a nice silhouette. If you ask me people are just griping GM knows what they are doing. The lights will grow on people like the fixed head lights of the C6 did.

Do people really not like the shape of the lights themselves? Or is it the tear vent off the taillight and diffuser turning most off? The latter for most folks I know including myself. I liked the rear end less in person at the show, but I love the taillights, the evolution is perfect.

Let's bring up pop-up headlights and a chrome bumper too!

Order in Black. Problem solved. I'm not crazy about the looks but again, that's what black is for. It seems that it will be a better car than the C6 so will just have to wait for the production versions to be tested. 50/50 weight distribution should help in the handling department, but again, only time will tell. Probably will wait for the 2-3 year product before diving in. Until then, the "big arse" of the C6 will have to do.
