Some Interior Shots

Finally got my Caravaggio seats and steering wheel and the DSV whole center console area (including the pork chop) and cluster pod installed. Also switched out the nav and havc knobs with cnc'd ones and through in a red starter button for good measure. The radio faceplate is alcantara which matches the seats and steering wheel. The radio bezel is leather as well as the console base. The console lid is the 4LT leather lid that came with the car. The shift and brake boots and the shift knob and brake handle are leather The door sills are G3 and are really nice and match the carbon fiber seats perfectly. The pedals are Elite Engineering. It's taken quite a while to get everything right. I'm pretty happy with the outcome though.

Hmmm, they are quite a bit firmer and narrower than OEM. They retain the side bolster and lumbar adjustments as well as the memory and heated seat functions. I have a 31" waist and I'm 5'11" tall. They fit me great, if you are much wider in the butt they may not be for you. If you're looking for a more supportive seat for spirited driving and track days and still want to retain the electronics of the OEM seat these are a good option. Note: they do not have the in seat air bags.

Stunning seats. Sent you a pm.

Thanks and I really do like how you have done your interior, the center console is the first I have seen like that and looks top shelf:thumbs:

Thank you Peter, I appreciate it. I feel it turned out well. My neighbor has a brand new M3 and there's no comparison. Meaning his M3 does not measure up at all. With some effort the 'vette interior can become very nice and better match the level of performance it offers. My goal was to get the vibe of an Aston Martin. It's not quite there but it's pretty damn nice.

VERY, VERY good but wouldn't work for a lot of Corvette owners (see post #13). Happy to say that it WOULD fit me but I have been bracing with my knees for so many years that it is absolutely second nature to me without giving it any thought whatsoever. :yesnod:

Fiss 01-30-2013 01:22 PM

Very nice. Not a bad way to spend a lot of money.

Funny, yes, it did cost a few bucks. But, the whole car with 4LT, NPP, F55 and the improvements/additions/mods (however you choose to voice it) were still less than a Cayman, so, it seemed like a bargain...at least that's what I keep telling myself.:D

Yes, definitely not for those who are wide of bottom.:D

Very nice are you doing yourself?(taking off and having covered and put back on?)
Where did you go to see Caravaggio seats before you decided?

Treadhead 01-30-2013 04:27 PM

Good stuff right there man. I'm envious of those seats.

I did the removal and installation myself, thanks in large part to the very helpful people on the forum who posted great photos and directions on how to do it!
DSVETTES did the console pieces.
I did not see the seats in person before I decided.

Thank you very much. I really appreciate it.

You can get the starter button at quite a few vendors here on the forum.
I think I got mine from Corvette Mods. They were having a free shipping weekend. I know RPI sells them too. You can actually get any C6 color you want. Inferno Orange, JSB, CRM, etc., I went with Victory Red.

Oh, one other thing. It's not a cover, it's the actual OEM starter button painted red. You will have to pop out the cluster pod, remove your button and then install the new painted button. There are a couple of really good how to's on the forum. It will take about a 1/2 an hour to do and that's only because you're going to be very cautious doing it for the first time. If you were familiar with removing the cluster pod it would only take a couple minutes to do.

Best,
Greg

Cyber Greg 01-31-2013 02:26 AM

Thanks everyone for the props. Much appreciated. I owe a debt of thanks to all of the members who have posted their photos and how to's on this forum. So much information here. I feel like I've taken a course in C6 'vettes being on this forum.

No, the car is a 4LT with the leather wrap. So the Corvette lettering you see is stitched into the leather.

The faceplate is wrapped in Alcantara. It's the same material as the center part of the seats. It's getting used a lot in higher end cars. Lamborghini has been using it to wrap their interiors for quite a while now. GT3's are wrapped in it too.

Do all of the painted starter button replacements cover the acc and off lights?

I think they probably do. There is a company that makes a chrome plated one. The lights might be able to shine through that? Not sure though. To be honest after looking at it I realized this is something I could have EASILY done myself. It's just a matter of cutting the circle templates the correct size. So, if you wanted to you could also make tiny circle templates to place over the acc and off lights and then paint it the color of your choice plus a couple coats of clear and your golden!
