How will you blow your tax refund?

Provided of course, that you get one, lol!

I'm thinking of getting a corsa exhaust, what will you get??

flange 01-29-2013 04:10 PM

If I overpaid on my quarterlies, they just apply it to next year, havent seen a refund in nearly ten years. I actually miss that forced savings account!!

boraxman 01-29-2013 04:11 PM

Guns, booze and hookers...in that order/:thumbs:

MLCRookie 01-29-2013 04:30 PM

<=== Already did...:D

johnodrake 01-29-2013 04:32 PM

Refund? I don't get no stinkin' refund! ;)

Vette_DD 01-29-2013 04:35 PM

By the time I have to give part of it to the spouse, I won't have enough left for a decent mod to the Vette.

I don't buy many mods anyway.

What tax refund, can I have yours?

JCtx 01-29-2013 05:01 PM

Refund? On the contrary. Have to shell out quite a bit every Jan 15, due to the majority of my income being in the last quarter. So my wallet is still smoking. I'd gladly have somebody's refund if they don't want it .

RaisedOnVettes 01-29-2013 05:02 PM

Well, I got started a little early...

I will post pics when received and installed!

Homer3D 01-29-2013 05:02 PM

I am pretty sure I am not going to get a refund this year. Didn’t get one last year either.

Thomasmoto 01-29-2013 05:06 PM

Edelbrock Eforce, Kooks headers and cross pipe with hi flo cats. Rear carbon fiber spoiler. Boost gauge and mount and all installed. Oh, almost forgot ceramic front brake pads.

Boomer111 01-29-2013 05:20 PM

I'll supplement my monthly expenditures with the refund though out the year.

C6Whatever 01-29-2013 05:20 PM

You may need more tire than that. :)

TLS_Addict 01-29-2013 05:27 PM

I most likely wont have a refund.....

MLCRookie 01-29-2013 05:27 PM

In reality, we are just like the rest of you on here...in our tax bracket (working but still broke so we can fund the lazy)...we pay in a bunch and get nothing back...

trebor8008 01-29-2013 05:35 PM

As everyone who might get one is saying "IF" I get one, Corsa exhaust, GS Wheels, and hopefully an E-force if enough is left :yesnod:

MelAnn 01-29-2013 05:48 PM

Don't let the current administration know you get money back. They can "fix" that problem!

LT1 Z51 01-29-2013 05:50 PM

Pay for things I've already bought.

ClipperFan 01-29-2013 05:52 PM

payoff some bills so I can get something with a LS3 in it

Vasta 01-29-2013 06:05 PM

Pay my monthly bar tab. :D

ProfessorDeath 01-29-2013 06:14 PM

I estimate I'll get about $500 back from federal and owe the state around $750. -$250 refund for me this year.

This is why I always try to owe, even just a little. Just so I know I am getting all my money first and the government can get whatever is left after.

ngtcrlr 007 c6 01-29-2013 06:28 PM

If we get anything back it will be direct deposited. Sooo, IF I get to the bank first I would like to get a "lil" cam and a new underdrive powerbond pulley installed in the LS2. If my wife gets to the bank first she will be buying clothes, shoes etc?

TLTONEY 01-29-2013 06:59 PM

I was told that we are going on a cruise whether I like it or not! :willy:

matt_lowry123 01-29-2013 07:07 PM

If I get a refund back, I'm going to buy a C7. The problem is, I haven't got one back for years.

lmello211 01-29-2013 07:15 PM

refund

i have been tire kickin the idea of buying a set of satin black centennial wheels from one of the forum vendors to replace the split spoke comp grey wheels on my silver convertible. maybe i should pay some bills instead but that would be zero fun. New England winter blues:ack:

Kimera 01-29-2013 07:16 PM

You do understand that a refund is just that, right? That you are getting money back because the government over taxed you throughout the year. Age really has nothing to do with it or being single. Actually claiming "married" nets a bigger tax rebate. In any case, if I were to claim "0" on my W4 I would be taxed up the A$$ throughout the year but get like a 10k refund. But I claim "9" so what I take home in my paychecks are bigger and I end up owing come tax time.

phileaglesfan 01-29-2013 08:05 PM

I cannot remember the last time I got a refund. It is pretty easy to figure out my taxes and I'm definitely not going to give Uncle Sam a tax free loan. I don't even get a child tax credit now, was $1k each, then the daughter turned 17, now I make too much for to get it for my 7 year old son. State takes their $7k or so, feds take $12-15k.

TrekWater88 01-29-2013 08:33 PM

Two new rear tires for starters. The OE Run Craps are down to the wear bars at 3948 miles. Bummed about it, but I guess it's fairly typical.

tslick98 01-29-2013 08:39 PM

No refund for me.

Minnesota Scott 01-29-2013 08:58 PM

I pay 52% of every dollar I make to one tax or another....I don't think that is quite enough....I really should start "paying my fair share" since I can still afford to own a Corvette :toetap:

Iceberg7r 01-29-2013 09:04 PM

Redoing my driveway! I would love to drop it in the Vette but the house has needs also!

Sweet! Could you start paying more by taking care of my school taxes I have to pay? :jester

I figure since I do not have kids, it is kind of like taxation without representation. :hide:

jpee 01-29-2013 09:11 PM

I'm gonna "DONATE" any $$ I get to Barrack Obama & Family so he can take some quality time off, & have a "NICE" Vacation

He does deserve one ... ?? Don't he ???? :leaving:

ls1121 01-29-2013 09:16 PM

The Wife and I are going to Vegas for a week.

06C6REDVETTE 01-29-2013 09:18 PM

Big Lebowski 01-29-2013 09:21 PM

Ha! All I do is pay taxes...

berk4422 01-29-2013 09:32 PM

Wife is getting Maple hardwood floors in the Master BR.

I'm getting Koni FSDs!:rock::rock::rock:

berk4422 01-29-2013 09:40 PM

and a corvette shirt!

Madfence 01-29-2013 09:40 PM

First of all it's not a refund it's your money, that the government distributes on your behalf. Secondly, haven't seen a refund in 20 years....

dbartromvette 01-29-2013 10:12 PM

If I don't owe I will be stoked! I'm a sub 30 guy too, but I get killed! Maybe a set of headers if I don't owe too much?!

Kreuzen 01-29-2013 10:19 PM

Isn't that a violation of Corvette Ownership rule 89.1; Corvette owners are explicitly forbidden from receiving any state and/or federal tax refunds. Simply un-Americian

jdk541 01-30-2013 12:52 AM

Well for me it depends on the amount of the refund. I have three major modifications to do to this car and they are all rather pricey.

First - X-Pipe and new Exhaust. (Either BB Route 66 or Corsa Sport)
Second - New Brake Rotors (Drilled and Slotted)
Third - Custom Airbrushed Fuel Rail Covers.

The amount of the refunt will dictate which one gets knocked off the list first.

donzi1 01-30-2013 02:34 AM

I'm blowing the whole thing on my family.

Dinner at McDonalds....Ed

LMB-Z 01-30-2013 03:07 AM

A new gun, a one round magazine, and a box of ammo, IF, I can find any (gun, magazine, or ammo).

narfdanarf 01-30-2013 04:50 AM

I can't stand the idea of owing money to anyone let alone the government and even more so when you have no idea how much it's going to be so I just claim 0 and collect my $8-10k check every year...

I'm buying something for the vette, but I haven't decided yet.
