Wtb 2006+ c6 $22,000 or below

I'm looking for a 2006+ c6 in good condition with less that 60,000, if possible, for under $22,000.
I'm impartial to a6 or m6, doesn't matter if it has mods, assuming it was done right.
Also, I do not want a salvage title or any accidents on title, if possible.

good luck with your search, i have a 07 for 25k

that car pictured above is priced well if it has docs, a clean history and you find out what the owner did with it. if it drove up and down freeways it will have a ton of life left

last manheim stats i saw were showing 21-22k for a high 50s low 60s k mile 2006 car which is also more or less in line with ebay. the only problem is waiting for one to come up with that's in good condition and is close enough to you and has someone willing to sell it for basically trade in

This thread could be an entertaining (or more) than the Z06 wanted thread above

I'm not looking to buy, but I do have an interest in used Corvette prices....

Considering you could buy a new BASE C6 coupe for $35K a couple of months ago (with incentives)...finding an 8-year old car in good shape with decent miles for <$25K shouldn't be as hard as it is.... Good luck, keep on the lookout and be willing to travel.

Most owners did not get that memo......I'm looking for a 2008 car, in my area used 08's are still asking mid 30's........forum dealers will sell you a new 2013 for around 41-42k right now.

I'll much rather buy new instead of an out of warranty vette for nearly the same price.....if people want to sell, they gotta realize the values of the 2013's

the spread is so vast on these cars i think anyone who doesn't study the market for a minimum of 3 months before purchase has a good chance of tossing a couple grand in the fireplace.

5-7k spreads on a car priced in the 20s is a bit nutty yet they sure do exist.

i'm in the same boat as the op and have 20 in cash set aside. trying to save 1-2k more for something pretty nice when the deal comes my way. seems like you get a lot more car at 22k than you do at 19-20k

Mikev078 01-22-2013 11:53 PM

Wish you the best of luck. They are out there, but gotta jump on them fast when they do show up. I'm actually selling my 06 wide body 54k mileage for 27k and I've had a few dealerships offer me 23-24k trade-in.

Audacious Nick 01-23-2013 07:41 PM

I've really been trying to find a ls3 2008+ model, but those are quite rare and disappear very quickly. One was on autotrader for $23,000 the other day, so it's not a long stretch. It's just owners and their pricing.

philly07c6 01-23-2013 07:49 PM

i mean if u find a 08 for 22k good on you, cause that car is worth more as a trade in or staright buy out at dealer. i mean mine is 07 clean car fax and service is done at my dealership, im asking 25k and if i dont get it then ill trade it in for 23k and use the tax savings.

Harry Marsh 01-23-2013 07:54 PM

Only white and silver cars are in that range, right now :)
...drives me crazy

ez2spd 01-23-2013 10:43 PM

I'm looking for a white one but trade on Yellow Porsche 996

Audacious Nick 01-24-2013 07:20 AM

It was black, too. And an A6.
Like I said, it's all in the owners.

Yea it sucks, had the same issue back in 2009 when trying to sell my former 2007 VY coupe.....27k miles on it, I listed it here for 30k.......no-one even offered....traded it in on a Z06 and got 27.5k for a trade-in. The market took a crap back then and sports cars had no demand thus the horrible values. I took a bath on that one :ack:

If your not getting offers, its priced too high, at that point it makes better sense to trade it in and take the tax savings to offset the lower price.

and a big premium on red. is that the most desirable color or something? bids are always high on red on black cars

Harry Marsh 01-24-2013 02:19 PM

Cheaper and cheaper prices, every week
http://washingtondc.craigslist.org/m...555758632.html
(salvage title, but price might be worth it, if you get the car for $16,000 or so)

If you're selling: dealer trade-in is the way to go
I know quite a few dealers. Some of them don't even know the c7 is pending, and what that will do to prices.
They're giving far more in trade than they currently should (and getting stuck with the cars)

I think you can say the same thing for the Z06 market, based on what some of these cars are supposedly "auctioned" at.

But I guess that's another thread. :D

you search completed auctions on ebay? it's eye opening. a 70 something k mile 2006 z06 closed 27 and change no reserve

the surprising part to me is that a 70 something mile 2006 coupe will close 20, are the z06s really dropping that fast to get within a few thousand of a coupe?
