Now that we've seen non-showroom C7's
Particularly the black and blue ones posted on jalopnik not under showroom lighting or touched up photos GM provided us, is the difference between the C7 and C6 still considered significant, or significant enough to make the C6 look dated?
I think the C7 still looks significantly better than the base C6, but a bit undecided now on how how much better it looks than the widebody C6's. Was interested in seeing what others thought. http://img.gawkerassets.com/img/18c7...g/original.jpg http://img.gawkerassets.com/img/18c7...jpg/xlarge.jpg http://img.gawkerassets.com/img/18c7...jpg/xlarge.jpg http://img.gawkerassets.com/img/18c7...jpg/xlarge.jpg http://img.gawkerassets.com/img/18c7...jpg/xlarge.jpg http://img.gawkerassets.com/img/18c7...jpg/xlarge.jpg |
I think the C6 and C7 look a lot alike and do not see a significant enough change to want a new one.

I find some things that are really cool on all models. C1-C7...

I love my 2011 C6 and like the looks of the C7. When the time comes to get a new car I would like to get a C7. Some people seem to think that to like one is to not like the other. Not true. Like ice cream, I like many, many flavors of vehicles. I also love my '82 Silverado short bed stepside with original wood in the bed.

No chromed plastic Stingray thingies on the sides of those 'in the wild' cars…
|
I want one even more...
|
Plus to be fair, we're only seeing the sides and rear view here, and the front is where most of the changes have happened.

Nope you are dead wrong
|
C7 rightfully in a class of its own - like all previous editions.

I must admit, after seeing the C7 in these pictures, the car looks less impressive. I hope it is a bad angle or something because, based on these pictures, I would much rather have a used C6ZO7/ZR1.
I need to see it in person. I have looked at God only knows how many pictures now and the verdict for me so far is that the C7 looks amazing at some angles in some pictures and, at best, just ok in other pictures taken at different angles... |

Cover this one with your hand and only have the rear of the car exposed from the door seam at the rear side glass and back. I can really see the 5th Gen Camaro like styling there from this angle...

A Corvette is a Corvette. They will always resemble each other some how.

The vert will definitely get my attention.

Honestly, I don't see the C6 as looking older, just different...not yet anyway.:D
Maybe when I see a C7 sitting next to a C6... I know one thing..I want one of the new seats! |
Saw the C-7 at the Barrett Jackson auction. I really love the interior but we were not allowed to sit in the car and I'm told by someone sitting in the car that rear vision is restricted. Surprisingly I really like the rear but am not sold on the roof line and the B pillar and side window. No question the roof line was made to look more like a European sports car and Im not sure I like that.
