New guy '12 base coupe
 

Hello all, new guy from coppell texas. bought a '12 blade silver coupe in December. Learned a lot from the forum so far and looking forward to more.

A vette has been my dream car since I was 10, was diagnosed with terminal brain cancer last year so figured it was time to buy. :thumbs: and don't hold it against me, I'm youngish, 29. So no old v young debate lol

You prob won't see me post much, but I read everything, lol.

Congrats Alex. Drive that thing into the ground.

Alex, you may have been mis-diagnosed.

If you actually had brain 'issues', you would have bought a Mustang.

Sometimes we embarrass ourselves by quibbling like a bunch of youngsters, or oldsters, but we are all in this thing together, and will all meet the same maker in the end. But in the meantime let's rejoice in simple pleasures like babies, puppies, kittens, beautiful women, kindly oldsters, and yes, magnificent machines like trains, planes and automobiles. Thats a priceless picture with the future owner. My Dad purchased a '74, the same year I was born, in same silver paint with black leather interior. And I have countless memories that I will never forget of growing up with that car. No car will ever be faster, better or more prized by me.

As much as you are enjoying it.. I'm sure the "future owner" thinks his Dad has the coolest/fastest/best looking car on the planet. And that alone makes the entire purchase worth it!
