How did I do?

I recently purchased a 2001 quicksilver vert with 91,900 miles for 13.5k. There are a few minor issues that I didn't know to look for, but they seem to be common problems.(Non illuminating HVAC, fog lights not working and housing loose etc.) Overall it drives nice and tight, although I have notice a very slight wobble when braking. (Rotors) Is this about right fortoday's market? Thx for any replies...

Over paid but all that counts is you're happy

If you didn't know about the issues you stated, you didn't do your homework or a very thorough pre-buy inspection. Hopefully they are the only issues you have. Otherwise you probably did ok. After you buy there is always a better "deal" down the road.

WTF?
This guy buys a 2001 Convertible with less than 100,000 miles (for less than $14,000) and with a couple of easily solved issues and you guys are giving him grief ??????????:toetap:

To the OP, You bought the car about right, and we hope you enjoy both the car and the forum.

If those are the only issues, they are easily fixed and I'd say you got a good deal on the car. Best of luck with it and hope it gives you many years of driving pleasure.

Thanks guys for the replies and the warm welcome. I appreciate all of your opinions. I will be watching and learning. Also I will post pics ASAP.

Were are you located? Prices vary due to location as much as condition of the car.

CQRT 01-20-2013 10:07 AM

Korrey-

I'm sure you did your homework and it sounds like you bought a nice car at a good price- - why not fill in your profile a bit so we know where you're located?

Congrats - -can't wait to see photos - - there's a photo tutorial in the "Help" section of the forum if you need it.

Mr.Bill

It is a vert and for 13.5 K! Not everyone can or wants to mortgage the farm to buy one. Don't forget that verts cost more new and IMHO are worth it. I have been impressed with how solid and shake/rattle free mine is. Not like the cowl shaking verts of old. Now that is a very fair deal. So it may not be perfect. Have fun working on it and do a little at a time. Congrats on your purchase and welcome to the group .
