Very nice pics - thanks for posting :canadaflag:

Got any pics of the gray one?
|
|
I think it is absolutely awesome and I'm NOT a fan of red and black. The whole thing reeks Corvette and those who want to refer to it as a Camaro are clueless IMO.
http://s7.postimage.org/j5g7zl0rf/08...tte_reveal.jpg |
My design input:
Rear lip wing should have been Carbon Fiber similar to the ZR1. Complete ass of car should have been black similar to the C5R. Looks odd being cut in half like that. Roof area above door should have also been carbon fiber. Kind of looks like a carbon fiber square in the middle of the roof. I also think there is something missing like a front lip kit, side steps, etc....but I can't make a call on whether or not those pieces should be there because they would effect the actual aerodynamics and handling and perhaps this is better. The other things mentioned above are purely cosmetic. Overall, I like it. Email sent to Tim at Boardwalk about a pre-order. |

Thank God someone without some blurry pics!!!
Car looks good overall. Disappointed with the interior (other than the seats....totally want :D) Waiting to see one in person. |
Not what I was expecting....:leaving:

Awesome photos! I'm there! Thanks for posting!

Awesome pictures. THanks!

Great pics!

Thanks for the pics the detail is great!
CNN-Money just posted six pics of the Silver C7 with alluminum wheels on display. They look great! http://money.cnn.com/gallery/autos/2013/01/13/2014-chevrolet-corvette/index.html?iid=Lead Pasted Link (I don't know how to cut and paste pics) |
Love it
I had a post in the C7 section last week were I stated my opinion that GM knew that they needed to start getting younger buyers, to some of you that would mean paying customers, and I got loads of grief from 4 Jamokes in particular. The actual car just shows me that GM knew exactly what they were doing with the taillights. Going after the non traditional Corvette owner. This car is wonderful looking and from the young guys viewing it with me excitement, this is exactly what Corvette needed.
|
Exceed all expectations!!!!! PERFECT!!

Corvette "purists" may grumble but this is a car for a whole new generation of Corvette buyer which GM needs to keep the bloodline alive. |
Thank you for the pics!

So glad to see the top notch interior.

Well i think this car is beautiful. I'm in line for one. Now i cant wait to see what Callaway does with it .
700 HP Callaway :willy::willy: |
Perfection!!!

Hate it
|
awsome just fracking awsome
|
Great pics! We get cooled seats now! LOL
|
wow !!!!!
Awesome ! |
i want silver with red interior
|
That glued-on spoiler is just AWFUL!
Look at the gaps! The damn thing doesn't even fit! http://i1220.photobucket.com/albums/...S/ricetail.jpg I hope they have that better-integrated before the car goes into production. I don't know why it can't be part of the rear fascia. |
The rear end looks horrible, the wheels in black are horrible...
The rest of the car, along with the interior look great. Those damn tail lights... |
great pics, but the car itself makes me cry a little. i'm a younger corvette owner/lover at the ripe old age of 26. to me, they ruined the corvette. i'd probably love this as a different car, but as a corvette it makes me so thankful that i ordered my grand sport c6 two months ago.

the only disappointment to me... those competition seats aren't bolstered as much on the seat bottoms as I had hoped for. Seeing as the backs are more agreesive, I expected the bottoms that way too.
thanks for the great shots. I am not a fan of bright red on a car, but that combo looks great. Loved watching the reveal. |

No big C6 type parking brake handle sticking up.
I assume it has an electrically activated E-brake?:confused2: Bob :flag: |
Thanks JAGWelborn for getting the Silver C7 pics posted!
The Silver/Grey looks great. Put in a black interior and I'm sold!!! The wheels look great in these pics (I'm not a fan of the black wheels) |
It beautiful, and for less then the price of a Grand Sport? No contest. I will be putting down a deposit

I don't know why it can't be part of the rear fascia. That jumped out at me right away. I suspect that they are still working out some details. There are gap problems all over the car. There were also some more subtle things that were disappointing. It appears the designer of the Stingray logo and the designer of the vents weren't on speaking terms. http://s7.postimage.org/sm6167km3/16...tte_reveal.jpg I know it seems trivial, but shouldn't the bottom leading edge of the logo run parrallel to the vent? I like the logo---it would've been cool if they had picked up on that and raked the vent at a less acute angle to match it. |
I think the emblem looks tacked as an afterthought doodad.
|
Interior screams Audi as if they ripped it right out of the R8. Love the black wheels.
|
For me, I gotta see it in person.
What I do like: Silver color Front view Seats What I'm neutral on: Side view What I hate: Hideous red. Steering wheel is horrible. Dash Rear end All the venting everywhere. They definately seem to be going after younger crowd but as a result the car definately does not have elegance. |
Look at the gap between the red material and carpet to the left of the shifter on the first interior pic. It is so large it creates a shadow. Another gap at the beginning of the center console where it meets the carpet near the drivers seat. Ugh this is on the reveal car too.
|
The grey changed my mind..... I like it
|
Is the red the Z51 and silver the standard? The wheels fit the wheel wells much better on the red one...

I do not, as a general rule, like bright red cars or black wheels- the combination doubles the effect. So I was really turned off by the first photos. The silver car- instant car-woody. Nice going, Chevrolet.
|
Beautiful
|
Looks quite acceptible to me as a new start in a different direction.....what direction that may be is yet to be determined.
Would love to see one in person. Oh, and all that red interior is hideous, regardless of "heritage" I feel sorry for the first White "Stingray" with red interior. Its just too loud. Black and camel interior will look very classy. White with black interior is racey. Red with black interior is classic And I prefer the standard performance seats over the competiition alien spaceship seats. How wide is this model compared to a C6 Z06? |
Is the gray one the 4X4 version?
|
new vette
I want one

i'm an owner of a c4 1995 and to me the interior of c7 is an upgraded C4 corvette interior , there is nothing new or special about it !! please take a good look at the picture i attached its almost i identical in terms of shape , lines ...etc . |

Car looks good overall. Disappointed with the interior (other than the seats....totally want :D) Waiting to see one in person. I like that it's similar to the latter model C4 in layout. I loved the fighter cockpit of my 1990 and 1993 vettes! It was a great idea but poor in execution (in that everything kinda rattles and falls apart). Hopefully the C7 will be much more buttoned down. |
Thanks for the pics
|
The car is stunning. I probably would have liked to see more Vette oriented taillights. Could be a mid run styling change on them if the future, but overall, the car is beautifully designed.
|

The interior, while not bad... is definitely NOT "world class" like GM promised.. I mean common..
Attachment 48377768 Thankfully nobody is buying vettes for the interior (I didn't). We buy them for the performance! |
Where are the back seats everyone was talking about?

|
AFM, VVT & DOD - why on earth did they do that on the Corvette?
Other observations - Throttle body has changed, power steering bracket totally different, alternator on pass. side, coolant tank where battery was. C6 Z06 brakes as standard. Looks like iPod controls finally standard. Very striking car. Tail is hideous though |
Front is menacing and sleek, wish the back matched.
The Stingray emlem looks like an electric guitar. Overall I like it, but the back will have to grow on me alot. Black will help blend in with the vents and the back end lines. The interior looks good for a Corvette, but I hope the dash and door panels don't turn chalky white. I think I could see a ZO6 with Black Exterior/Interior with Aluminum or Black wheels in a few years. :flag: |
I'm starting to like it.

Where are the reverse lights?
Inside the centers of the taillights? |
C7
Anyone see the word Stingray anywhere? Just the stingray emblem??

Can you shift gears with those paddles on the steering wheel? They look like off a DCT.

thats fot the great pics ,

The wheels on the reveal car were very cheap looking but I guess that they are trying to attract the much younger buyers that go for the boy racer look but the question I ask is how many of them will actually be able to afford to buy a new corvette? I noticed that they barely showed the rear view at all during the reveal so they must not be terribly proud of that view. Not a big fan of all the carbon fiber look in the interior. I have owned all 6 prior generations but unless the convert looks way better than the coupe they can count me out as a buyer. |

the grey car with silver wheels looks 1000% better than those crappy black wheels on the red car. I wasn't feeling so strong until I just saw that grey car above.
REAR RUBBER LOOKS DINKY. |
C7
All this wait and that was it? :willy:
That is one ugly car. :flaghalfmast: The rearend is a cross between a Camaro and an older Firebird. The interior looks incredibly "cheap" and as one person said a "rental car" interior. Oh well. Glen |
Nice pics. Thanks.
|
Love the red interior...it's red! Not that teutonic euro burnt red offered for the C6's. Like the silver C7 with the chrome wheels...not a black wheel guy. About the rear window, it's looks like a perfect airfoil a la Mach 1 Mustang. (The Larry Shinoda Mustang). Mustangs with this same rear window design tended to be aerodynamically unstable. A drag racer was killed with the rear end of his Mach 1 lifted off the ground during a run. What to keep the rear window from functioning like an airfoil? Maybe not an issue?
Maybe an aftermarket manufacturer will come out with a rear valance to replace the rear tail lights with Corvette circular lights. Maybe the stock tail lights will look better when you see them "in person." Is the hood vent opening functional? |
What year is the C8 reveal?
|
At least you can't say it's boring. Overall I like it but not so much the tail lights.
|
Overall I think I am going to like it. 240z look to the side windows...gives it a little japanese look. Not crazy about that or the any video game influences on the dash. The front end, hood and side views are good, backend may look better in person. I have had c4s back in the day, c5s, current c5z with 600rwhp. I think I am going to pick up a 2013 z and wait a couple of years to see where they go with the performance version.
